Adenomyosis is a benign gynecological condition characterized by the proliferation of endometrial stroma and glands into myometrium, uterine volume enlargement, peripheral smooth muscle hypertrophy. The typical clinical symptoms include chronic pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, subfertility, all which significantly impact quality life. There are no effective prevention or treatment strategies for adenomyosis, partly due to limited understanding pathological mechanisms underlying initiation progression disease.
