The increasing variety of food choices has led to a rise in diet-related diseases, as people often prioritize taste over nutritional content. high consumption sodium and potassium-rich foods contributed growing number kidney disease cases. While many studies have focused on producing low-potassium foods, these result suboptimal growth. Mushrooms are nutrient-rich source, but their potassium content makes them unsuitable for patients. This study aims determine the effects different media compositions osmolyte supplementation content, yield, mycelium growth duration mushrooms. cultivation was conducted using baglog method, starting with preparation medium composed combination sengon wood sawdust, rice bran, dried kepok banana leaves, which were sterilized before inoculating mushroom spawn incubated kumbung 35 days. Mycelium length observed during growth, tested post-harvest. results showed that proline had an effectiveness threshold, 3% composition B yielding best hyphae development highest yield 296.67 grams lowest For glycerol treatment, 5% A produced while 1% resulted longest

The existence of life beyond Earth has long captivated humanity, and the study extremophiles-organisms surviving thriving in extreme environments-provides crucial insights into this possibility. Extremophiles overcome severe challenges such as enzyme inactivity, protein denaturation, damage cell membrane by adopting several strategies. This feature article focuses on molecular strategies extremophiles use to maintain membrane's structure fluidity under external stress. Key include homeoviscous adaptation (HVA), involving regulation lipid composition, osmolyte-mediated (OMA), where small organic molecules protect Proteins also have direct indirect roles protecting membrane. Examining survival provides scientists with how can adapt persist harsh conditions, shedding light origins life. examines HVA OMA their mechanisms maintaining stability, emphasizing our contributions field. It a brief overview proteins concludes recommendations for future research directions.
