Degradation of bisphenol S was studied using ozone activated by sodium percarbonate and the effectiveness optimized process compared with peroxone process. The influence several factors including concentration, dose, pH, water matrix were investigated. A synergetic coefficient 3.84 achieved for combination ozone, confirming this hybrid Scavenging tests revealed, that carbonate radicals, hydroxyl superoxide singlet oxygen contributed to degradation S. At same operating condition, values 99% 81% obtained combined hydrogen peroxide, respectively, demonstrating superiority over peroxide in Low concentration inorganic anions had a negligible effect on degradation, while ions increased first-order rate constant 56%.
