Abstract The purpose of this research is to examine consumer responses green behavior linking constructs like attitude, perceived behavioral control (PBC), and subjective norms (SN) from the theory planned (TPB) model in connection cultural dimension influence such as collectivism. A well‐established survey was developed capture adequate using a quantitative approach. SmartPLSver3.3 were applied reliability path relationship analysis. Results indicate that collectivism influences multiple factors TPB (attitude, PBC, SN). In addition, PBC exerted positive on SN, which significantly accelerated behavior. Enterprises are facing the superimposed challenges of digitalization and greening. The shift from reactive green technology innovation (RGT) to proactive (PGT) has special significance for sustainable economic development. Which strategies will companies choose? Can digital transformation (DT) motivate transform their strategies? Enterprises' strategy choices must be explained with regard digitalization. purpose this paper is reveal how affects choice provide a realistic basis development heavily polluting enterprises. We formulated "DT-capability-strategy" theoretical framework incorporating external constraints internal attitudes empirically test microdata 505 results show that: (1) DT can enterprises' RGT PGT. Endogenous tests robustness support conclusion. (2) A mechanism shows that environmental regulations cannot significantly regulate strategy. Only company's capabilities influence PGT but effects on not statistically significant. (3) multi-dimensional heterogeneity in infrastructure, scale, level enterprise. conclusions implications enterprises integrate behaviors.
