Background/Objectives: Over the past three decades, emergency medicine in Romania has evolved from a developing specialty into cornerstone of national healthcare system. As we reflect on these 30 years, it becomes evident that lessons learned and systems developed form vital foundation for future. This study aims to explore how accumulated experience can guide us toward building more resilient medical system, one prioritizes quality, ensures patient provider safety, embraces modern principles management. The objectives this were long-term perspectives physicians nurses working departments (EDs), determine triggering factors may lead abandoning specialty, identify malpractice risks arising doctor–patient interaction. Methods: employed an observational design utilized opinion questionnaire assess participants’ perspectives. Qualitative data presented as frequencies percentages. Quantitative expressed means standard deviations after verifying normal distribution with Shapiro–Wilk test. Comparisons between groups qualitative variables conducted using chi-square For comparisons quantitative two groups, Student’s t-test was following confirmation homogeneity variances Levene’s A p-value < 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: Out 1228 estimated responders, 641 completed questionnaire. total 577 participants met inclusion criteria: 256 (44.4%) 321 (55.6%) doctors, average age responders 40.06 years. Nurses reported highest level managerial support (83.2%, p 0.001). EPs had rate non-participation procedures/protocols/guidelines (49.5%, Intensive care unit doctors (ICU-MDs) main reporting deficiency employer-provided resources manage conflict situations (63.7%, 61.7%; <0.001). (28%) practicing defensive (inadequate educational support, absence clear protocols). Workplace burnout by ICU-MDs (96.3%; 93.4%; 0.001), 26% interest professional reorientation. This study focuses on the adaptation and validation of Nursing Activities Score (NAS) for use in Latvian intensive care units (ICUs) to measure nursing workload. The NAS, widely used internationally, was selected its comprehensive ability reflect 81% ICU activities, making it a suitable tool assessing workload healthcare context. followed two-phase methodology: (1) expert using Content Validity Index (CVI) (2) pilot assess psychometric properties adapted tool.
