Oxidative stress occurs when there is an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and body’s antioxidant defenses. It poses a significant threat to physiological function reproductive cells. Factors such as xenobiotics heat can worsen this stress, leading cellular damage apoptosis, ultimately decreasing efficiency. The nuclear factor erythroid 2–related 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway plays crucial role in defending against oxidative protecting cells via enhancing responses. Dysregulation Nrf2 has been associated with infertility suboptimal performance mammals. Recent advancements therapeutic interventions have underscored critical mitigating restoring functional integrity In narrative review, we delineate harmful effects xenobiotic-induced on explain how provides protection these challenges. studies shown that activating using various bioactive compounds ameliorate distress apoptosis mammalian By comprehensively analyzing existing literature, propose key target for caused by exposure xenobiotic stress. Additionally, based synthesis findings, discuss potential therapies focused improve

ABSTRACT Sulfasalazine, an anti‐inflammatory drug used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disorders poses a threat to male reproductive potential. With growing interest therapeutic ability dietary flavonoids mitigate drug‐related dysfunction males, we evaluated possible protective potentials quercetin against sulfasalazine‐induced genotoxicity bone marrow and apoptosis testis, semen, epididymis Wistar rats. Twenty rats were placed into four groups ( n = 5) orally administered following for 14 consecutive days: Group 1: 0.5% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (1 ml/kg). 2: (20 mg/kg). 3: sulfasalazine (600 4: mg/kg) + Tumor suppressor protein (Tp53), caspase 9, 3 levels increased while TUNEL positive sperm sulfasalazine‐treated rats, indicative apoptotic death sperm. These significantly decreased co‐administered with quercetin. However, Tp53, 9 remained unchanged, TUNEL‐stained cells not evident testes treated sulfasalazine. Again, frequency micronuclei (MN) its genotoxic MN was, however, their on co‐administration In conclusion, our findings suggest that holds promise ameliorating associated sulfasalazine's detrimental effect fertility DNA.

Objective The detrimental effect of gamma radiation on testicular tissue is an intricate problem in the field nuclear medicine. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate potential mechanism carvacrol against toxicity induced by γ-rays based bioinformatics and vivo experiments. Methods targets were retrieved from SwissTargetPrediction database. In addition, for radiation-induced damage identified GeneCards However, common identified. Subsequently, GO KEGG enrichment was conducted using KOBAS server. animals vitro experiment used validate in-silico analysis. particular, oxidative stress markers, including malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), total antioxidant status (TAS), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), as well testis sperm characteristics serum testosterone level examined unveil crucial damage. Results findings explored that markedly increasing oxidant MDA, substantially decreasing GSH, TAS, SOD, CAT. Additionally, adversely affected levels. bioinformatic analyses target regulates oxidation-reduction biosynthesis processes. experimental analysis improved stress. Objective: To investigate the potential of N -acetylcysteine (NAC) and zinc sulphate (ZnSO 4 ) in mitigating reproductive dysfunction caused by di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) rats to understand underlying mechanisms, specifically oxidative stress sex hormone receptor activity. Methods: Thirty-five male Wistar were randomly divided into five equal groups ( n =7 per group). Group 1 was administered 0.5 mL distilled water served as control group. 2 given only DEHP (750 mg/kg/day), while group 3, 5 mg/kg/day) plus NAC (100 ZnSO (0.5 well respectively. All treatments lasted for 21 days. Samples obtained after sacrificed, hormones levels serum markers testicles analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The amount androgen receptors determined immunohistochemistry, susceptibility testosterone bind 5α-reductase molecular docking studies. Results: decreased hormones, testicular antioxidant enzymes, increased malondialdehyde levels, negatively impacted histology pituitary testes. or treatment showed a marked improvement status positive effect on combination both appeared be more effective. affinity may lead disruption signaling, which can further result related androgen. Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressive drug that widely used in organ transplantation and autoimmune diseases. However, its potential reproductive toxicity male animals not fully understood. This mini-review aims to provide overview of the current knowledge on cyclosporine animals, focusing effects spermatogenesis, sperm quality, fertility. A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, other databases identify relevant studies. Studies have shown can various adverse spermatogenesis including decreased production, impaired motility, increased abnormalities. also affect quality by reducing concentration, viability, DNA integrity. These may result fertility animals. The available evidence suggests has toxic Further research needed elucidate mechanisms action develop strategies mitigate these effects.
