Plastic waste pollution is a significant global environmental challenge, necessitating comprehensive management strategies. The perceptions and behaviours of stakeholders, particularly educators, are instrumental in shaping practices. Despite the increasing concerns about plastic pollution, there lack research focusing on teachers' perspectives, rural settings such as Chiana. This study addresses gap by investigating perspectives Senior High School (SHS) teachers Chiana regarding effects waste. Grounded Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) Collective Action Theory, explores how demographic factors gender, age, education level, awareness influence A quantitative descriptive survey approach was employed to gather data from 56 SHS, which were analysed using statistics, Chi-square severity index. results revealed gender disparity among respondents, with 8.9% female 91.1% male teachers. There total agreement negative impacts environment; 96.4 % preferred alternative packaging materials over plastic. Paper packing (21.4%) leaves or paper (16.1%) most favoured alternatives. Additionally, 62.5% reported occasionally educating students plastic's effects. All respondents emphasised importance effective methods. Teachers demonstrated adverse indiscriminate disposal. study, inspired dedication willingness, recommends integrating challenges solutions into curriculum enhance (plastic) practices students, thereby motivating audience take action.

Waste management (WM) is a growing concern in Ghana, characterised by the widespread practice of open dumping and burning waste. These unsustainable methods have raised significant environmental, health, social concerns.
