Currently, there is a rising need for smart packaging materials that can be applied the real-time visual monitoring of food freshness. In this work, new Co-based MOF (Co-ATMP) nanocrystals with ammonia-sensitivity function were prepared and then blended polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix to construct active materials. The effect Co-ATMP nanofiller upon structure, physical, functional performances PVA films analyzed in detail. Results demonstrate nano fillers are distributed well within through formation hydrogen-bonding interaction, which make an obvious increase ductility, moisture permeability, UV-blocking ability film. Besides, PVA/Co-ATMP blend present high antibacterial activity, as color stability. Ultimately, successfully employed indicating deterioration shrimp noticeable variations.
