Giardiasis, caused by Giardia duodenalis, is a prevalent and significant zoonotic disease. While nitroimidazole drugs are primarily used to treat giardiasis, the urgent need for development formulation of new has arisen due increasing drug resistance. Several plant derived medicine have been employed as antiparasitic drugs. This study evaluated anti-Giardia effect Licochalcone A (Lic A) through both in vitro vivo experiments. We determined 50% inhibitory concentration (IC

In order to obtain homogeneous Sanghuangporus vaninii polysaccharides with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, a response surface method (RSM) was used compare the polysaccharide extraction rate of hot water ultrasonic-assisted from vaninii. The optimal conditions for were determined as follows: an temperature 60 °C, time min, solid-liquid ratio 40 g/mL, ultrasonic power 70 W. An SVP (Sanghuangporus polysaccharides) 1.41% achieved. Five monosaccharides obtained by gradient ethanol precipitation diethylaminoethyl-cellulose (DEAE) SephadexG-100 separation purification. five characterized high performance liquid chromatography, ultraviolet spectrum, Fourier transform infrared TG (thermogravimetric analysis), Zeta potential, SEM (scanning electron microscopy). had certain levels activity in vitro. addition, we investigated effects derived on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW 264.7 cells Kupffer cells. Further, found that SVP-60 significantly inhibited pro-inflammatory cytokines, such interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α promoted level cytokine IL-10 Our study provides theoretical support potential application field activities

Licorice, a perennial herb of Leguminosa, is one the oldest and most widely used herbal medicines worldwide. Its distinct sweet flavor rich medicinal value make it an integral component traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulations, which continue to be employed. The main chemical constituents licorice include triterpenoid saponins, flavonoids, polysaccharides. Experimental clinical studies have demonstrated that various extracts pure compounds derived from exhibit wide range pharmacological properties including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiviral, antitumor, immune-regulatory, neuroprotective activities. bioactive offer therapeutic benefits for cardiovascular cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, liver disorders. This comprehensive review discusses primary their activities, describes in vivo vitro models employed studying licorice, its potential targets mechanisms action. Furthermore, we discuss toxicological profile, side effects, dosage recommendations, applications licorice. aims establish foundation further research on safe effective utilization while facilitating in-depth exploration fostering development novel agents. Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. is a medicinal herb that can be added to food provide therapeutic effects and reduce the burden of medications. Herein, immunomodulatory polysaccharides (GPs) were verified illustrated by intervening immunocompromised rats treated with different doses GPs, which reflected for adjusting composition structure intestinal microbiota altering metabolic profile. The GPs exerted regulating microenvironment. In particular, could promote growth probiotic bacteria Allobaculum, norank__o_Clostridia_UCG-014, Dubosiella, g__norank_o___RF39 curb harmful Enterococcus. results showed had prebiotic effect, contributed improving environment maintaining health. addition, content beneficial differential metabolites was up-regulated, especially short-chain fatty acids, alanine, aspartate, glutamate metabolism; arginine biosynthesis; glyoxylate dicarboxylate metabolism being most enriched pathways. These pathways imply process effector it are focused. Overall, purpose this article lies in providing support application immune function.
