A facile one-step non-contact process was developed for preparing the substrates Fabry-Perot-based side-polished optical fiber sensors. carbon dioxide (CO2) laser cladding removal technique used to control profile of polished surface and introduce two reflective cavities. The were characterized a range cavity lengths their thermal response studied. This device added degree freedom design based Fabry-Perot sensors its potential demonstrated by coating substrate with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). resulting had three-order magnitude increase in sensitivity when compared substrate. flat provided route integration novel materials sensing applications, particularly those where polarization vital light-matter interaction, example, low dimensional such as graphene or MXene. inherent simplicity, mechanical stability, scalability this approach are important steps realization practical devices type.

Fungal esophagitis (FE) is caused by fungal invasion of the esophageal mucosa. Under endoscopy, mucosa shows edema, congestion, erosion, and ulceration, bleeds easily when touched, surface covered with small white spots like "bean curd residue". Clinical cases showing typical FE under endoscopic imaging but negative mucosal brush (referred to as suspected FE) have increased difficulty challenge clinical diagnosis treatment. At present, flora case has not been thoroughly studied. To characterize in FE, normal controls (NCs), identify marker species improve detection FE. This was a case-control study. A total 19 patients 16 10 NCs were selected endoscopy. The cell samples each group sequenced internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 analyzed bioinformatics. In patients, richness, diversity evenness, measured Chao1 index, Shannon index Pielou lower than NCs, comparison between most significant (P < 0.05).
