The skin is crucial for homeostasis and body defense, requiring quick healing to maintain internal balance. Initially used bone repair, calcium hydroxyapatite (HAp) now being studied soft tissue engineering. This literature review investigated HAp’s role in repair through searches on PubMed, Scopus (Elsevier), Science Direct, Springer Link, Google Scholar databases without time restrictions, using keywords “hydroxyapatite AND wound” repair”. Inclusion criteria encompassed vivo studies humans animals, English publications, full access, sufficient data repair. Exclusions included duplicates, unrelated articles, editor letters, reviews, comments, conference abstracts, dissertations, theses. Out of the 472 articles initially identified, 139 met inclusion criteria, with 21 focusing HAp Findings indicate that nano-HAp regeneration are promising, especially when combined other biomaterials, offering antimicrobial anti-inflammatory benefits stimulating angiogenesis. suggests their potential application dermatology, surgery, dentistry, extending versatility from hard tissues enhancing critical properties accelerating healing.

Although the skin has a high healing capacity, severe wounds often require external interventions to heal properly. Tissue-engineered wound dressings have indeed gained significant attention among various treatment strategies for healing. This study focuses on integration of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), quaternized chitosan (QCS), and dextran (DEX) prepare ternary composite (PVP/QCS/DEX) as dressing hydrogels with varying concentration PVP DEX. A variety analytical methods, including infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle, water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) were employed assess characteristics samples. The uniform interconnected porous structure samples was confirmed by SEM results. All showed porosity transition rate, demonstrating their ability provide suitable moist environment efficient exudate handling antibacterial test conducted demonstrated activity drug-loaded hydrogel Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus. in vitro cytotoxicity evaluation using MTT assay that developed PVP/QCS/DEX exhibit satisfactory cytocompatibility promote cell viability. results scratch indicated had promoted migration would improve accelerate process. vivo tests sample revealed promising performance. Therefore, based favorable performance observed throughout analysis, as-prepared show promise field dressings.

Burns usually result in damage and loss of skin forming irregular wound wounds. The lack tissue protection makes the site highly vulnerable to bacterial infections, hindering healing process. However, commonly used dressings do not readily provide complete coverage wounds compared regular Therefore, there is an urgent need prepare a dressing with high antimicrobial efficacy for administration drugs In this study, chitosan (CS)/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) composite nanofiber membrane (CS/PVP/Phlorizin) loaded root bark glycosides (Phlorizin) was developed using electrostatic spinning technique. incorporation phlorizin, natural antioxidant, into fiber membranes notably boosted their antioxidant capabilities, along demonstrating excellent hydrophilic characteristics.

Bovine mastitis is a global problem and mainly treated with antimicrobial agents that can significantly affect milk quality threaten human health. The mammary gland be damaged by the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), particularly during perinatal period. Dihydromyricetin (DHM) has wide range pharmacological activities considered safe. However, its poor solubility, absorption, bioavailability have limited application. To address this issue, we designed synthesized new chitosan-derivative nanoparticles (HACC-NPs) loaded DHM, which potential to overcome bioabsorption problems enhance antibacterial antioxidant effects. We used emulsification/crosslinking method load DHM into (DHM/HACC-NPs); then, SEM, TEM FTIR analyses were show denser, more tightly packed matrix for DHM/HACC-NPs, successfully prepared. size (176.4 nm), polydispersity index (PDI, 0.21), absolute value zeta (+26.3 mV) confirmed stability DHM/HACC-NPs. More importantly, DHM/HACC-NPs had stronger effect on S. aureus (MIC = 0.52 mg/mL MBC 1.02 mg/mL) than E. coli 2.05 mg/mL). Notably, concentration-dependent scavengers DPPH hydroxyl radicals. In summary, exhibited superior biocompatibility activities, offering insights development robust, udder-stable drug platform as promising strategy treating dairy cow mastitis.
