In this work, we have developed a composite chitosan film incorporating the Litsea cubeba essential oil (LCEO) and starch with good physical properties, investigated effect of coating strawberries film. The best formula LCEO/chitosan/corn starch/glycerol (LCEO/CH/CS/gly) films is 0.25% LCEO, 2.75% CH, 0.40% corn starch, 0.75% glycerol. Coating CH/CS/gly or LCEO/CH/CS/gly resulted in significantly lower respiration intensity slower decay rate, much decreases firmness, reductions sugar ascorbic acid content fruit during storage (p < 0.05). coatings also led to accumulation malondialdehyde anthocyanins was generally more effective than film; however, obvious later stages storage. Thus, can be viable method for extending shelf-life fruit.

The preservation of meat via sustainable methods and packaging is an area continued interest driven by the need to address food security. use biomaterial films coatings has gained significant attention due their non-toxicity biodegradability compared with conventional synthetic films.
