Spent coffee grounds (SCGs) have great potential as a useful, value-added biological material. In this context, activated carbon (AC) was prepared from SCGs by an activation process using H3PO4 at 600 °C in the air and used adsorbent for azo dye AO7, model molecule colorants found textile industry effluents. X-ray diffraction, SEM BET revealed that AC predominantly amorphous, consisting of powder 20–100 µm particles with mesopores averaging 5.5 nm pore size. Adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second-order law, while Langmuir best fitted experimental isotherm data (maximum capacity 119.5 mg AO7 per g). The thermodynamic parameters adsorption endothermic spontaneous. All characterizations indicated occurred physisorption via mainly π–π interactions. removal efficiency optimized means Box–Behnken design response surface methodology 98% initial concentration 20 mg·L−1 pH 7.5 dose 0.285 g·L−1 contact time 40 min. These results clearly show can be useful material efficiently removing organic matter aqueous solutions.

Abstract Secondary metabolites from several plant species have been used to cure various illnesses. Current advances allowed green synthesis nanoparticle manufacturing of metal salts sources. This study involves binding activated carbon obtained the Crataegus monogyna magnetic nanoparticles and coating resulting nanocomposite with Ag ions (CMAC/MNPs‐Ag) produce a biomedical nanobiological material. Various techniques such as SEM, EDX, XRD, FTIR, UV‐Vis, VSM, DLS, zeta potential were characterize synthesized nanocomposites. CMAC/MNPs‐Ag demonstrated activity in processes antioxidant tests. DPPH CUPRAC activities measured 90.21 ± 0.42 46.73 0.108 mg TE/g, respectively, while total phenolic content was 27.15 0.381 GAE/g. Finally, antibacterial evaluated against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus by microdilution disk diffusion techniques. The antimicrobial determined using For , 1.17 µg mL −1 12 mm, for 2.34 10 respectively.

Cancer is a major disease that affects millions of people around the world every year. It individuals all ages, races, and backgrounds. Since drugs used to treat cancer cannot distinguish between cancerous healthy cells, they cause systemic toxicity along with serious side effects. Recently, controlled drug-release systems have been developed reduce effects caused by anticancer for treatment. Morin an drug flavonol structure. has extensively researched its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumoral, antibacterial properties, especially found in Chinese herbs fruits, multiple positive on different diseases. In this study, nanocomposite magnetic properties was synthesized coating biocompatible activated carbon obtained using fruits Celtis tournefortii plant surface iron oxide nanoparticles. Characterization carbon-coated confirmed Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry, diffraction, dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, vibrating sample magnetometry. The cytotoxic drug-loaded were examined HT-29 (colorectal), T98-G (glioblastoma) cell lines, human umbilical vein endothelial (HUVEC) line. morin loading release behavior studied, results showed up 60% adsorbed released within 4 h. summary, carriers shown promising delivery drug.

Co-carbonization of waste biomass is great interest to reduce production costs and increase carbon yields. In this study, it was investigated produce cost-effective high yield activated carbons by carbonizing lemna minor (LM) hazelnut shell (HS) wastes together. context, LM HS were co-carbonized at 800°C, 100 mL/min N2 for 90 min, their carbonization yields, adsorption capacities, physical chemical properties determined. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible (UV), energy-dispersive (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultimate proximate analysis performed. According XRD analysis, amorphous, semi-crystalline, but the crystalline structure increased after co-carbonization. Based on FTIR LM, HS, cLM/HS contain various functional groups, including O-H, C-H, C-O. The capacity CV removal, obtained (cLM/HS), are 87.95 mg/g 88%, respectively. Its specific surface area 745 m2/g. This study showed that a adsorbent removal crystal violet dye.
