The study seeks to understand the antecedents influencing effectiveness of cross-functional coopetition and consequences that go deeper into significance within Quick-Service Restaurants (QSRs) by examining its impact on organisational ambidexterity, specifically exploitative exploratory innovation. Using partial least structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM), data was collected from 336 employees in QSRs. While results confirmed hypothesized relationships, development culture hierarchy have no relationship coopetition. There is a link between coopetitive ability competition (a) innovation (b) innovation, but social cohesion makes stronger. Cross-functional partially mediates both ‘organisational structure culture’ ambidexterity. General implications findings for research ambidexterity are discussed.
