Antibiotic resistance presents an alarming threat to global health, with bacterial infections now ranking among the leading causes of mortality. To address this escalating challenge, strategies such as antibiotic stewardship, development antimicrobial therapies, and exploration alternative treatment modalities are imperative. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), acclaimed for their outstanding biocompatibility in vivo biodegradability, promising avenues synthesis novel agents under mild conditions. Among these, zeolitic imidazolate (ZIFs), a remarkable subclass MOFs, have emerged potent antibacterial materials; efficacy which stems from porous structure, metal ion content, tunable functionalized groups. This could be further enhanced by incorporating or encapsulating ions, Cu, Fe, Ti, Ag, others. perspective aims underscore potential ZIFs underlying mechanisms including release generation reactive oxygen species (ROS), disruption cell walls, synergistic interactions other agents. These attributes position candidates advanced applications combating infections. Furthermore, we propose approach synthesizing derivatives, demonstrating exceptional against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus. By highlighting benefits derivatives agents, emphasizes critical challenge resistance.

Effective design of photocatalysts is an effective method to improve the separation photogenerated carriers, which improves photocatalytic performance photocatalysts. In this work, CoCu-ZIF materials with bimetallic structure were synthesized at room temperature for efficient fuel denitrification. The properties and structures can be effectively controlled by adjusting molar ratio cobalt copper. as-prepared characterized XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TEM, UV-vis, Raman, BET other techniques. photoactivity denitrogenation NCCs has been evaluated using visible light (λ ≥ 420 nm). results indicate that Co8Cu2-ZIF exhibit excellent properties, in denitrification rate almost reached 80% after 4 hours under irradiation, higher than degradation ability ZIF-67 (38%). Transient photoelectrochemical experiments EIS Nyquist plots unique efficiently transfer electron-hole pairs. Moreover, a possible reaction mechanism was proposed LC-MS analysis.

Abstract Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are excellent precursors for preparing transition metal and nitrogen co‐doped carbon catalysts, which have been widely utilized in the field of electrocatalysis since their initial development. However, original MOFs derived catalysts greatly limited development application due to disadvantages such as atom aggregation, structural collapse, narrow pore channels. Recently, surfactants‐assisted attracted much attention from researchers advantages hierarchical porous structure, increased specific surface area, many exposed active sites. This review mainly focuses on synthesis methods comprehensively introduces action surfactants materials structure‐activity relationship between oxygen reduction reaction, evolution hydrogen reaction performance. Apparently, aims this not only introduce status but also contribute rational design fuel cells, metal–air electrolysis water toward production.
