The development of heterostructures for precise electron-transfer paths at the p–n junction interface is great significance photo/electrocatalytic (EC) applications. In this paper, we have presented a strategy to precisely transfer electrons from conduction band MoS2 valence site g-C3N4 through Z-scheme manner. heterostructure demonstrated 2-fold improvement in catalytic efficiency 20 wt % MoS2/g-C3N4 (18.04 mmol/gcat–1) with an apparent quantum yield (AQY) H2 generation approaching 34% by using 300 W Xe lamp. enhanced photocatalytic (PC) evolution catalyst shows that addition NSs causes more active sites and prevention electron–hole pair recombination facilitating increased rate electron transport interface. addition, required lowest overpotentials 410 262 mV reach mA cm–2 current density OER HER performances, respectively. Subsequently, impedance spectroscopy indicates low charge resistance, photoluminescence analysis showed better-photogenerated kinetics heterostructures, which contributed their improved photo/electrochemical performance. For intriguing applications future, study offers path designing synthesizing chemically linked atomic accuracy. Further, postphoto/electrocatalytic characterizations revealed intact geometry catalyst, indicating long-term durability catalyst.
