The active site is a highly anticipated property of adsorbent in the field separation, as it enables concurrent enhancement both adsorption efficiency and rate. Herein, employing morphology-oriented regulation, we successfully fabricated heterogeneous MgO from magnesium-based metal-organic framework (MOF) precursor, octahedral MgO-M laminated sheets MgO-P, for capture Congo red (CR).
