Titanium alloys are applied in oil and gas development transportation to improve conditions because of their high specific strength corrosion resistance. However, the disadvantage poor wear resistance has become an obstacle developing titanium alloys. The friction properties pure TA3 alloy TA10 were tested under different loads forms using a reciprocating tester. Moreover, erosion was studied gas–solid results show that rate increases with increasing load. Under load 50 N, mass losses dry wet 0.0013 g 0.0045 g, respectively, while 0.0033 0.0046 respectively. While increased 70 loss even greater, reaching 0.0065 0.0058 g. include abrasive wear, adhesive oxidation wear. joint action various leads materials. simulated working conditions, rates 1.01 × 10−3 g/s 0.94 g/s. mechanism is same, including plowing, indentation cracking.

Titanium-clad steel plates are widely used in chemical equipment and nuclear power due to their excellent corrosion resistance high strength. However, the Ti-C Fe-Ti compounds generated easily at titanium/steel interface deteriorate bonding strength of titanium steel, especially high-temperature service environments. In this study, pure Fe DT4 was chosen as an intermediate layer control formation interfacial compounds. The titanium/DT4/steel were manufactured by hot rolling technology with a small hole vacuuming. Then, titanium-clad annealed temperatures 450 °C, 550 650 °C modify microstructure properties. composition, mechanical properties plates, property studied as-rolled state under different annealing temperatures. results showed that TiC, FeTi, Fe2Ti state. After treatment, types quantities reduced, these mainly TiC FeTi temperature °C. compound only appeared variation determined hardness shear plates. more compounds, higher lower Therefore, when lowest highest. Meanwhile, significant improvement, indicating provides favorable conditions for enhancing performance plate.

In this paper, the morphological, micromechanical and tribological characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V ELI alloy after thermal oxidation (TO) were identified. TO was carried out at temperatures 848 K, 898 K 948 over a period 50 h. Microscopic examination revealed that an increase in temperature resulted improved uniformity coverage increased oxide grain size. Micromechanical tests showed led to hardness deformation resistance. Following oxidation, decrease (by approximately 10–22%) observed total mechanical work indentation, Wtotal, compared as-received material. The formation protective films on also improvement characteristics, both when tested under dry friction conditions Ringer’s solution. sliding wear resistance with temperature. However, greater degree reduction 30–50%) found for lubricated contact comparison tests. Surface roughness
