Purpose
This
research
examines
the
impact
of
integrating
lean
manufacturing
(LM)
principles
and
Industry
4.0
(I4.0)
into
product
development
process
(PDP)
companies
in
southern
Brazil,
with
objective
improving
market
performance
(MP).
Design/methodology/approach
A
survey
was
conducted
110
managers
to
evaluate
level
LM
I4.0
principles,
PDP
phases,
improvement
MP.
Quantitative
analysis
employed
analyse
data,
including
confirmatory
factor
(CFA)
ordinary
least
squares
(OLS)
hierarchical
regression.
Findings
The
study
reveals
that
enhances
positively
impacts
MP
companies.
Additionally,
partially
mediates
LM-PDP
relationship,
while
I4.0-PDP
highlighting
their
interdependence
rather
than
one
being
a
prerequisite
for
other.
Research
limitations/implications
has
limitations
regarding
its
narrow
focus
on
Brazil

Abstract
Digital
transformation
is
globally
pervasive,
and
exploring
how
it
can
shape
enterprises'
sustainable
development

Using

panel
data

710
listed
corporates
in
China
from
2011
to
2020,
this
paper
empirically
investigates
impact
