In light of technological uncertainty and grounded in the dynamic capabilities view, this study investigates impact digital on competitive advantage Vietnamese small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) an emerging market. Surveying 250 SMEs Vietnam, research employed partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to test hypotheses, followed by artificial neural network (ANN) PROCESS macro for robustness test. The results show no direct effect advantage; however, interestingly, positively moderates relationship between these firms. findings also indicate that are proven influence adaptive whereas fails moderate correlation. Moreover, points out positive effects explorative exploitative innovation among market SMEs. Notably, have a firms’ while leadership absorptive capacity is significant. explored roles uncertainty, offering novel contributions understanding firm’s advantage. It provides practical implications managers aiming enhance lessening capabilities.

This study investigates the impact of digital capabilities on sustainable competitive advantages among manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, an emerging market, through lens dynamic view. The research examines mediating role absorptive capacity active leadership this relationship. used both qualitative quantitative research, which a two-stage approach was employed, using partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) artificial neural network (ANN) data collected from 314 firms. results reveal positive correlation between advantages, with acting as mediator. also found relationships capacity, well advantages. Digital identified factor positively affecting capabilities, playing these relationships. By exploring roles leadership, offers novel contributions to understanding firm’s findings provide practical implications for managers market SMEs, such those who aim enhance by leveraging capabilities.

Purpose Drawing from the resource-based view (RBV), this study aims to develop a parsimonious model in context of digital platforms that links strategic network resources (SNR) and firm performance through considering dynamic capabilities (DC) as important mediating mechanisms. In addition, we also investigate how platform monitoring shapes relationship between SNR DC. Design/methodology/approach This uses survey data 162 firms eastern China. Findings The findings indicate both two DC dimensions (i.e., sensing reconfiguring) significantly mediate SNR-performance. Moreover, positively moderates well reconfiguring.
