Deep eutectic solvents have emerged as promising alternatives to traditional lubricants due their ease of preparation, low cost, low/no pollution, reproducibility, and unique antifriction antiwear performance. Herein, green sorbitol-based deep are successfully synthesized using d-sorbitol quaternary ammonium salts hydrogen bond donors acceptors, respectively, through a simple heating stirring method. The exhibit good thermostability, high viscosity, favorable wettability on the steel surface. Notably, tribological tests demonstrated that displayed outstanding friction-reducing properties were observed achieve nearly wearless behavior surface under contact pressure (2.16 GPa). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission microscopy revealed complex tribofilms formed because tribochemical reactions physical adsorption substrates, resulting in properties. These results demonstrate as-synthesized candidates for sustainable lubricating materials with eminent Furthermore, present work may provide guidance reference development high-performance solvent-based materials.

Abstract The pharmaceutical industry has traditionally employed batch processing as a means of synthesizing active ingredients (APIs) on commercial scale. Batch manufacturing enables API synthesis in large quantities order to meet regulations. Yet, this strategy remains cumbersome, is labor‐intensive, and creates complex logistical networks. In recent decades, gradually eroded American economic competitiveness led the offshoring from United States. Today it estimated that +80% APIs are manufactured overseas. [1] Meanwhile, disruptions Coronavirus Disease (SARS‐CoV‐2) have exacerbated weaknesses global supply chain, culminating with widespread shortages critical life‐saving drugs. [2] These emphasized importance reshoring drug U.S. fostered regulatory landscape seeks advanced methods bolster America's chain resiliency. [3] Recently, increased attention been directed towards continuous enable nonstop production within modular stand‐alone flow systems. Continuous (CM) facilitates automation, offers new avenues process intensification, even in‐line analytical monitoring raw materials packaged products. This better conversion, safety, reduced waste, overall cost savings versus traditional batch‐style processing. rise manufacturing, coupled current landscape, rare window opportunity convert processes into continuous, streamlined systems on‐shore eliminate shortages. review will outline state‐of‐the‐art CM highlight translation chemistry unit operations

About 40% of approved drugs and nearly 90% drug candidates are poorly water-soluble drugs. Low solubility reduces the drugability. Effectively improving bioavailability is a critical issue that needs to be urgently addressed in development application. This review briefly introduces conventional solubilization techniques such as solubilizers, hydrotropes, cosolvents, prodrugs, salt modification, micronization, cyclodextrin inclusion, solid dispersions, details crystallization strategies, ionic liquids, polymer-based, lipid-based, inorganic-based carriers bioavailability. Some most commonly used carrier materials for presented. Several using summarized. Furthermore, this summarizes mechanism each technique, reviews latest research advances challenges, evaluates potential clinical translation. could guide selection approach, dosage form, administration route Moreover, we discuss several promising attracting increasing attention worldwide.
