Deep
eutectic
solvents
have
emerged
as
promising
alternatives
to
traditional
lubricants
due
their
ease
of
preparation,
low
cost,
low/no
pollution,
reproducibility,
and
unique
antifriction
antiwear
performance.
Herein,
green
sorbitol-based
deep
are
successfully
synthesized
using
d-sorbitol
quaternary
ammonium
salts
hydrogen
bond
donors
acceptors,
respectively,
through
a
simple
heating
stirring
method.
The
exhibit
good
thermostability,
high
viscosity,
favorable
wettability
on
the
steel
surface.
Notably,
tribological
tests
demonstrated
that

outstanding
friction-reducing
properties
were
observed

wearless
behavior

under

Highly
hygroscopic
pharmaceutical

nutraceutical
solids

Recently,
Natural
Deep
Eutectic
Solvents
(NaDES)
have
emerged
as
potential
solvents
for
boosting
drug
bioavailability.

work,
the
mechanism
of
solubility

class
II

and

in

Summary
A
review
paper
on
the
natural
deep
eutectic
solvents
(NaDES)
application
to
extraction
of
bioactives
from
products
and
agri‐food
wastes
is
introduced.
NaDES
are
mixtures
two
or
more
compounds
forming
a
liquid
phase
at
room
temperature
based
in
hydrogen
bond
acceptors
(quaternary
amines,
alcohols)
donors
(sugars,
organic
acids).
NADES
have
unique
properties
such
as
low
toxicity,
biodegradability
high
solubility
for
wide
range
compounds.
They
represent
sustainable
alternative
traditional
variety
