BACKGROUND: To cope up with the stressors and to make correct decisions in critical conditions enhance quality of health care services nurses adopt measures like emotional intelligence self-compassion. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A nonexperimental descriptive correlation research design was used collect data from 450 staff working different wards Mahatma Gandhi hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan, 01/08/2023 30/9/2023 by convenient sampling technique. The dropout rate 4.44%. demographic information form three valid reliable questionnaires were that is, trait questionnaire short (TEIQue-SF), self-compassion scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory. Pearson analysis used. RESULTS: findings showed most had average level (88.60%) moderate (63.95%). Majority have risk for exhaustion (55.58%) depolarization (73.72%). Totally, 45.58% high personal achievement. Positive correlations found between self-compassion-emotional ( r = 0.28, P < 0.01). Negative observed occupational burnout -0.33, 0.01); -0.31, CONCLUSIONS: Recommended policy makers nursing managers impart continuous training sessions promote their thus reducing burnout.
