Titanium dioxide (TiO2), one of the most frequently used materials in general, has emerged as an excellent photocatalytic material for environmental applications. In this review, principles and mechanisms activity TiO2 have been analyzed. Structural physical specificities nanoparticles, such morphology, crystal structure, electronic optical properties, considered context A review influence several factors, type dimensions photocatalyst particles, pH solution, oxidants/electron acceptors, light intensity on properties TiO2, provided. Superhydrophilicity intrinsic property surface was discussed through reconstruction during reversible hydrophilic changes. Additionally, attention paid to improving particles aggregation agglomeration.

In the current study, a direct S-scheme titanium dioxide/graphitic carbon nitride (TiO2/g-C3N4) heterojunction structure was fabricated via simultaneous calcination of TiO2 precursors and g-C3N4. Guava leaf extract utilized as reductant for production through green synthetic method, g-C3N4 prepared by thermal decomposition melamine. The pristine nanocomposite photocatalysts were characterized XRD, FTIR, BET, TGA, HRTEM, UV-vis DRS, PL to elucidate their physicochemical properties. photocatalytic activity synthesized examined degradation rhodamine B (RhB) methylene blue (MB) dyes under simulated solar light irradiation. exhibited commendable performances with 96% efficiency RhB attained in 120 min 95% MB achieved 150 min. enhanced activities attributable visible light-harvesting characteristics formation an system between two catalysts which promotes interfacial charge separation longer carrier lifespan. After 4 consecutive cycles, efficiencies both remained above 85%. According trapping experiments, OH• O2•- radicals critical RhB, while h+ dominant MB. also tested elution actual water pollutants combining dyes, 90% after 240
