The effectiveness of cinnamon extract as an environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitor for X65 carbon steel (X65CSt) in a 1 mol/L H2SO4 solution was examined using electrochemical, chemical, and computational techniques. This has many advantages, it is safe, friendly, harmless to human health, economically feasible. anticorrosion efficacy rises with rising the concentration reducing temperature reaches 95.83% at 450 mg l−1 potentiodynamic polarization. All investigated methods confirm ability indicated by reduced current density values mass loss well greater charge transfer resistance. In addition, pitting potentials were also transformed more noble direction implying resistance attack. polarization technique categorized mixed inhibitor. mechanism inhibition demonstrated terms adsorption main components onto surface X65CSt. on X65CSt this combined type between both physical chemical modes, determined computed free energy adsorption, which range −46.96 −37.42 kJ. mol−1. exposed Langmuir isotherm. four through functional theory, Monte Carlo, Molecular dynamic simulation. quantum parameters these Fe(110) reveals that cinnamaldehyde cinnamic acid inhibitors are effective inhibitors.

Abstract The studied Schiff-base compounds in this work are multitasked investigated as corrosion inhibitors and also, to improve the physical mechanical properties of reinforced concrete. efficiency inhibition two novel named (DHSiMF) (DHSiB) for carbon-steel aqueous media 1 M HCl was assessed via electrochemical methods loss weight. FT-IR, H-NMR spectra elemental analysis were used confirm structure such compounds. It found have successful even at low concentrations tested media, an increase inhibitor concentration led improvement efficiency. weight results clearly demonstrate that DHSiMF C-steel has a higher than DHSiB, with maximum (85%) attained × 10 –2 from DHSiMF. Electrochemical experiments likewise revealed same order, but maximal inhibitory 98.1%. addition corrosive dramatically changed anodic Tafel constants (β ) cathodic c ), indicating mixed type nature. polarization curves illustrated functions mixed-type action adsorption matching Langmuir isotherm. ∆G ads values DHSiB temperatures (ranging 303 333 K) − 34.42 kilojoule/mole 37.51 kilojoule/mole. These indicate compounds’ types chemo-physical adsorption. X-ray diffraction (XRD) Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) check existence protection layer on surface carbon steel by analyzing morphologies effects formed chemical compositions outcomes. For concrete, findings suggest reaction takes place between concrete mix will result flexural strength, compressive indirect tensile strength is made gravel dolomite aggregate.
