Ergosterol and its peroxide with important regulatory roles in a variety of intracellular biological processes. In this study, both the LPS- UVA-induced human keratinocyte (HaCaT) inflammatory models were established to investigate anti-inflammatory effects ES EP. The protective EP on UVA LPS-induced cell damage discussed by viability assays, reactive oxygen species levels, skin barrier-related proteins, factors, expression genes involved related signaling pathways analyzed. results showed that could reduce ROS levels; inhibit IL-8 IL-1β secretion; had significant promotion AQP3 FLG, inhibited gene expressions PI3K, AKt, not irritating according safety evaluation. summary, excellent provided degree protection against UVA/LPS-induced damage.
