Increasing clinical and preclinical evidence implicates gut microbiome (GM) dysbiosis as a key susceptibility factor for neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD) Parkinson’s (PD). In recent years, diseases have been viewed being driven not solely by defects in the brain, role of GM modulating central nervous system function via gut–brain axis has attracted considerable interest. Encouraged current research, development new probiotics may lead to tangible impacts on treatment disorders. This review summarizes understandings composition characteristics associated with research demonstrations molecules from that affect neurodegeneration. Furthermore, applications probiotics, such Clostridium butyricum, Akkermansia muciniphila, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Bacteroides fragilis, remediation are discussed.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder characterized by misfolding of α-synuclein. Clinical manifestations include slowly developing resting tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia and abnormal gait. The pathological mechanisms underlying PD are complex yet to be fully elucidated. studies suggest that the onset gastrointestinal symptoms may precede motor in patients. microbiota-gut-brain axis plays bidirectional communication role between enteric nervous system central system. This brain gut influenced neural, immune endocrine systems related microbiome. A growing body evidence indicates strong link dysregulation microbiota PD. In this review, we present recent progress understanding relationship We focus on microbiota, unique changes observed microbiome patients, impact these progression Finally, evaluate current treatment strategies for PD, including probiotics, fecal microbial transplants, dietary modifications, drug therapies.
