Background/Objectives: Food-insecure individuals are at risk for poor health outcomes, including substandard sleep health. A possible association of food insecurity with regularity has not been explored, and factors contributing to the relationship between well understood. This cross-sectional study explored identified specific nutrients that mediated association. Methods: used dietary intake, interview, physical examination, actigraphy, laboratory data from NHANES 2011–2014 assess correlation in a sample U.S. adults (n = 6730). Mediation analysis was conducted determine serum biomarkers intake indirectly contributed relationship. Results: Food negatively correlated regularity. Dietary fiber; vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, K; β-carotene; zinc; copper; potassium concentrations palmitoleic acid had significant indirect effects on this The low/marginal security group under-consumed vitamin K, very low K zinc. Among food-insecure, income-eligible adults, those who received benefits assistance programs consumed significantly less fiber β-carotene exhibited higher than non-participants. Conclusions: predicted regularity, by nutrients, underscoring role nutrition when evaluating potential impacts experiencing insecurity.

This investigation aimed to utilize wheat germ improve the nutritional value and sensory properties of date pastes. Wheat was added soft paste at different concentrations (5, 10%, 15%). Chemical composition, bioactive compounds, browning index, fatty acids, microbiological quality, peroxide values were estimated. Substitution with significantly increased ash, protein, fat contents treatments, decreased total sugars carbohydrates. In addition, incorporation into led a decrease in water activity. The color index fortified improved unsaturated such as oleic acid, linoleic linolenic increased. A reduction bacterial, yeast, mold counts observed. highest score acceptance recorded for 15%, followed by 10% 5%, lowest control sample.

Banana is one of the most prevalent tropical fruits, renowned for its nutritional and energetic value. Drying bananas prolongs their shelf life, reduces weight, conserves storage space, controls enzymatic reactions that lead to banana degradation. also enhances sensory attributes such as flavor texture. Producing solar-dried coating with fancy flavors an innovation in product processing, especially white chocolate coating. However, made from mixed various has a problem viscosity, this type considered not heat resistant enough, leading melting temperatures, those Thailand. Therefore, four components were incorporated into mixture improve quality. Palm Kernel Oil (PKO), Palmitic Acid (PA), Cocoa Butter (CB), Soy Lecithin (SL) added enhance coating's properties. The results showed CB had best viscosity at 9600 cP, slightly lower point 29.01°C, hardness measurement 152 g. These modifications proved proper stabilize under high making it suitable climates. Further research needed produce heat-resistant coating, ensuring maintains integrity desirable properties during transportation hot conditions. Our current study builds on our recent report that showed Palmitate aggravates ischemic endothelial (EC) dysfunction in vitro and aims to determine whether is a critical determinant of PAD severity. In contrast Palmitate, we studied the role short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) regulating revascularization PAD. Femoral artery ligation resection was used as preclinical-PAD model. Hypoxia serum starvation dramatically decreased ischemic-EC survival angiogenic capacity , whereas SCFAs significantly induced their capacity. LC-MRM MS analysis SCFA content ischemic-muscle. Laser Speckle perfusion imaging intramuscular treatment recovery, modest but significant impairment recovery. Immunoblot preferentially induce Free acid receptor (FFAR)-3, not FFAR2. Accordingly, silencing FFAR3 capacity, inhibiting FFAR2 angiogenesis. Pharmacological inhibition by beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) further recovery BHB-treated Mechanistically, FFAR3-induced FFAR2-levels inhibited decreasing NO inducing ROS levels SCFA-treated ischemic-ECs. data shows alone sufficient drive Increased ischemic-muscle allow activate AKT-NO axis angiogenesis However, loss promotes activation blocks SCFA-induced NO-production redox balance thereby preclinical-PAD.

Free fatty acids like palmitic acid (PA) are elevated in obesity and diabetes dysregulate monocyte macrophage functions, contributing to enhanced inflammation these cardiometabolic diseases. Epigenetic mechanisms regulating enhancer functions play key roles inflammatory gene expression, but their role PA-induced monocyte/macrophage dysfunction is unknown. We found that PA treatment altered the epigenetic landscape of enhancers super-enhancers (SEs) human monocytes. Integration with RNA-seq data revealed enhancers/SEs correlated PA-increased expression immune response genes, while PA-inhibited downregulation phagocytosis efferocytosis genes. These genes were similarly regulated macrophages from mouse models accelerated atherosclerosis, by infectious agents. PA-regulated harbored SNPs associated diabetes, obesity, body mass index indicating disease relevance. verified increased chromatin interactions between promoters, reduced at was inhibitors BRD4, NF-κB. inhibited macrophages. Together, our findings demonstrate dynamics regulate responses. Targeting changes could provide novel therapeutic opportunities for disorders.
