The current study examines the mediating roles of self-efficacy and sleep disturbance moderating role gender in association between duration youth/parent communication on depression anxiety during COVID-19 isolation period China. We used self-designed demographic variable questionnaire, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Self-Rating Depression Anxiety Scale with 1,772 youths aged 15–24 from 26 provinces China lockdown. performed analysis, correlation mediation moderated analysis. daily parents was significantly positively correlated negatively disturbance, depression, anxiety. chain analysis revealed that directly affected Self-efficacy, had significant chain-mediating effects parents, interactions (B = 0.35, 95% CI 0.06 to 0.64, p .02 < .05) were significant. parent/youth indirectly via effect disturbance. Chronotype and sleep quality have been shown to play significant roles in influencing people’s physical mental health. The current study focuses on examining the relationship between chronotype among Chinese college students exploring mediating role of bedtime procrastination moderating hygiene awareness. A sample 2822 (female = 71.4%) aged 17 29 years (M 19.77, SD 1.41) were included completed measures Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Morningness–Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), Bedtime Procrastination Scale (BPS) Hygiene Awareness (SHAS). results showed that evening-type reported lowest highest levels procrastination. In contrast, by morning-type, exhibiting neither-type students’ intermediate chronotype. partially mediated quality. Furthermore, awareness moderated direct effect path from Specifically, higher could buffer adverse self-reported but bolstered negative Our suggest individuals with an evening preference are inclined postpone their further experience poorer at night. may serve as a protective factor for poor nocturnal sleep. Overall, findings highlight importance reducing improving interventions designed help own better quality, especially those chronotypes.

Background Platelet parameters have been linked with glaucomatous optic neuropathy but whether they were associated retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness among healthy individuals remains unclear. We aim to determine the relationship between different platelet and RNFL in university students. Methods The Dali University Students Eye Health Study is a university-based, cross-sectional study southwestern China 2021. was measured automatically using an optical coherence tomography scanner. An automated hematology analyzer used analyze including (PLT) count, distribution width (PDW), mean volume (MPV) plateletcrit (PCT). Linear regression models generalized additive established examine associations of thickness. Results A total 1905 participants valid data included current analysis. Per unit increase levels MPV PDW decrease 0.74 μm ( P = 0.04) 0.35 multivariable-adjusted model. Subgroup analyses indicated that association present male non-linear trend observed 0.04). Conclusion Increased thinner RNFLs students, suggesting parameters, simple, global, economical markers, potentials be additional valuable biomarker for predicting change onset RNFL-related diseases late adulthood.

Elevated levels associated softer corneas greater elasticity viscidity. The study provides novel evidence for ocular changes. These findings may help clinicians perform adequate preoperative evaluations when performing surgery on patients liver or kidney disorders, as well helping public health practitioners understand changes people.

Abstract Background Myopia is prevalent in children and adolescents. Understanding the effect of multiple behaviors their latent patterns on ocular biometric parameters may help clinicians public health practitioners understand behavioral risk pattern myopia from a person-centered perspective. The purpose this study was to identify four major factors associated with myopia, including time spent outdoors, digital screen time, sleep duration, performance Chinese eye exercises. also examined relationships between these as well sample college students. Methods This included 2014 students Dali University Students Eye Health Study. average age subjects 19.0 ± 0.9 years old, ranging 15.7 25.1 old. Each participant’s refractive status measured using an autorefractor without cycloplegia were IOL Master. Behavioral collected pre-designed self-administered questionnaire. Latent class analysis (LCA) performed cluster various behaviors. Results prevalence 91.8% population. 2-class model selected for LCA based goodness-of-fit evaluation metrics. Among overall sample, 41.1% 58.9% assigned into high-risk low-risk class, respectively. [odds ratio (OR) = 2.12, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.52–3.14], high (OR 1.43, CI 1.14–1.78) axial length/corneal radius (AL/CR) more than 3.0 1.82, 1.22–2.72) significantly higher compared class.
