Abstract Rationale Practice context is known to influence the deployment of competencies. Visitation restrictions in nursing homes were a major policy intervention response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study conducted systematic review of changes federal and state visitation policies. After recommendations restricting all visitors non-essential healthcare personnel, 31 states implemented state-wide indoor bans March April 2020. Abstract Background People with dementia and severe challenging behavior in the Netherlands can be temporarily admitted to highly specialized units when their is not manageable regular special care (DSCUs). With scarce evidence available for treatment of these patients, a pioneering phase. To gain more insight into units, this study investigated organizational characteristics, i.e. admission discharge staffing, physical environment, management behavior. Objective: To explore the perceptions of nursing home (NH) clinicians regarding factors underpinning known increases in psychotropic prescribing over COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Three iterative online surveys were fielded to Virginia NH (11/2021–6/2022) assess their perspectives driving pandemic use. Existing literature and emerging survey data informed content. Sampling was for convenience achieved through crowdsourcing, leveraging collaborations with clinician professional organizations. Results: A total 89 collected.
