Tamoxifen (TAM) is extensively used to manage estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer. Despite its effectiveness, administration can negatively impact various organs, including the liver. This research focused on effects of TAM pyroptotic pathway in liver and evaluated potential cardamom extract (CRDE) lessen hepatic damage female rats. Rats received 45 mg/kg injections for 10 days, while groups treated with CRDE 12 ml/kg 20 commencing days before administration. exposure resulted apparent degenerations tissue inflammatory cell infiltration loss architectures. Serum levels enzymes alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase alkaline phosphatase were elevated, along oxidative stress, as shown by increased lipid peroxidation lower reduced glutathione. caused inflammation indicated higher tumor necrosis factor-α interleukin-6 well expression CD68; a phagocytic Kupffer's cells marker. Additionally, protein analysis revealed high markers NLRP3-inflammasome, caspase-1, gasdermin D. Conversely, treatment effectively neutralized biochemical, histological, alterations induced TAM. In conclusion, demonstrated protect from TAM-induced regulating mechanisms involving damage, inflammation, pyroptosis.

Abstract BACKGROUND Prenylated flavonoids are widely distributed in plants, including fruits and vegetables the Moraceae Fabaceae families. These chemicals potential functional food ingredients owing to their attractive biological activities. However, natural prenylated rare, which limits application. RESULTS Here, we reported prenylation of apigenin genistein catalyzed by DMATS1, a dimethylallyl‐ l ‐tryptophan synthase from Fusarium fujikuroi . High‐performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry nuclear magnetic resonance identified structure as 6‐ C ‐prenylapigenin (6‐PA) ‐prenylgenistein (6‐PG), respectively. Cell‐based assay suggested that both 6‐PA 6‐PG induced proliferation THP‐1 cells under low concentrations were safe doses less than 50 μmol L −1 exhibited significant anti‐inflammatory activity lipopolysaccharide‐stimulated cells, inhibited production nitric oxide well downregulating transcriptional levels pro‐inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor‐α, interleukin‐8, interleukin‐1β. CONCLUSION The findings DMATS1 could catalyze genistein, generated activity, aiding recognition nutraceuticals. © 2025 Society Chemical Industry.

Flap techniques are indispensable in modern surgery because of their role repairing tissue defects and restoring function. Ischemia-reperfusion oxidative stress-induced injuries the main causes flap failure. Oxidative stress exacerbates cell damage through accumulation reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby affecting function survival. Effective management these factors is essential for improving survival post-operative recovery. In this study, we utilized hollow mesoporous cerium dioxide nanoparticles loaded with quercetin, which were later into a light-cured double cross-linked hydrogel (HQu@BC) injected site to activate macrophage reprogramming maintain local ROS homeostasis reduce inflammation. Quercetin scavenges reduces mitochondrial due its intrinsic reducing structures such as catechols, carbon-carbon bonds, hydroxyl synergistic nanoparticles, inhibits inflammation by suppressing M1 polarization. This system continuously regulates levels, kills bacteria ultimately inflammation, creating favorable microenvironment innovative injectable composite nanoparticle material has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, healing-promoting properties, providing new approach success surgery.
