Biotoxins, predominantly bacterial food toxins, mycotoxins, and marine have emerged as major threats in the fields of seafood, other foods, feeds, medicine. They potential teratogenic, mutagenic, carcinogenic effects on humans, occasionally triggering high morbidity mortality. One apparent concerns relates to increasing consumption fast resulting demand for processed without adequate consideration toxins they may contain. Therefore, developing improved methods detecting biotoxins is paramount significance. Nanozymes, a type nanomaterials exhibiting enzyme-like activity, are increasingly being recognized viable alternatives natural enzymes owing their benefits, such customizable design, controlled catalytic performance, excellent biocompatibility, superior stability. The remarkable activity nanozymes has led broad utilization development colorimetric biosensors. This potent efficient approach rapid detection, enabling creation innovative sensing methodologies through integration with sensors. In this review, recent nanozyme research application biosensing examined an emphasis characteristics performance. study particularly focuses peroxidase (POD) oxidase (OXD) superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) Ultimately, challenges future prospects these assays explored.
