Constructing heterojunctions through surface-loaded catalysts is an important way to improve the photocatalytic ability. This article employs a simple and effective method of in situ anchoring spherical MnCo2O4 bimetallic oxide onto sheet-like graphdiyne (GDY). GDY possesses large specific surface area, providing ample space for MnCo2O4. By sintering, MnCO2O4 can be closely loaded on surface, which reduces distance between physical barrier electron transfer more conducive hydrogen evolution reaction. After GDY, composite catalyst exhibits excellent light absorption ability, low efficiency electron–hole recombination. The process catalytic superior performance remarkable stability. formation S-scheme heterojunction offers novel pathway transportation, preserves system's maximum redox capacity, facilitates involvement greater number electrons

Adsorption on metal surfaces has been shown to lead chemisorption induced electronic excitation but direct experimental evidence of semiconductor is still missing. Here, we design and use high-quality Silicon (Si) p-n diodes in-situ probe the charge transfer process taking place during vapor liquid phase iodine molecules H-Si (100) surface. We find that can generate electricity feed an external circuit process, demonstrating chemisorption-induced electron hole generation means electrically monitor process. A bipolar electrochemical model where a single surface hosts spontaneous oxidation (electron injection) reduction (hole reactions simultaneously its conduction valence bands without any electrolytes proposed explain observations. Our work provides new insight energy relaxation processes also calls for further studies observed chemovoltaic effect. Overall, results indicate possibility developing electrolyte-free chemical energy-to-electricity converters detectors.
