Renewable energy plays a vital role in achieving environmental sustainability, however, the mitigating effect varies across countries depending on share of renewables mix. Herein, we analyze renewable consumption, prices, and trade emissions G-7 countries. The results demonstrate that prices exert negative pressure CO2 while volume exerts robust positive emissions. country-specific estimation provide evidence While Kuznets curve hypothesis is validated at panel levels, consumption trade, are disparate Granger causality shows mono-directional flowing from GDP, quadratic term GDP to has no causal relationship with but indirectly affects through its direct prices. Joint action policies have implications for sustainability attainment Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
