Understanding the relationships between ecosystem services (ESs) is important for management and sustainable development. However, most studies used synergies trade-offs to infer ESs relationships, while bundles was infrequently involved. Research on spatiotemporal dynamics potential drivers of changes still lacking. In this study, we quantified mapped 10 in 1986, 1992, 1998, 2004, 2010, 2015 Yellow River Delta (YRD) region. The hotspots analysis first discern areas high low supplies, Spearman correlation then applied examining ESs. K-means clustering algorithm identify bundles, Random Forest further 1986 2015. Results showed that: (1) with natural ecosystems were reduced, artificial increased; (2) temporal correlations two consecutive years similar patterns, spatial changed greatly; (3) types increased, provided by replaced ecosystems; (4) increase wetlands, built-up lands, agricultural yields, as well decrease marsh lands determinant ES bundles. Our findings are expected enhance current understanding contribute targeted coastal areas.

The relationships between trade-off and synergy in ecosystem services (ESs) is essential for eco-environmental management restoration Karst regions, many researchers have focused heavily on this. However, to date, the best of our knowledge, we still lack an adequate understanding driving factors relationship changes optimization spatial pattern ESs this region. In study, a Bayesian belief network (BBN) model was developed link three major ESs—net primary productivity (NPP), water yield (WY), soil conservation (SC)—and determine regarding changes. Furthermore, multi-scenario scheme ES obtained suggestions are provided paper ecological decision-making Guizhou Province, China. results revealed that regional were mainly synergistic, but synergistic weakening, accompanied by trend during study period. area ratios with enhancement trade-offs NPP SC, SC WY, WY 17.9%, 28.6%, 26.6%, respectively, which indicates significant uncoordinated two other ESs. region underpinned multiple factors. Among them, resources natural factor restricts concerted development ESs, afforestation (AA) main human lowers among superiority distribution scope recognized through analysis BBN model. terms restoration, it concluded scenario 3 > 2 1; area, 1 3. Duyun City, south as well surrounding counties, regions high probability occurrences, they could be future optimization. Based occurrence trade-offs, identified, found can decreased adjusting combination key variables' states. This provides insight towards achieving mechanistic expression forces underpinning trade-offs/synergies, turn ensuring accurate implementation effective karst ecosystems.

A comprehensive understanding of multiple ecosystem services (ES) across the landscape is a key highlight management. There still remain weakness to integrate ESs for mirroring capability ecosystems deliver in broad perspective. Here, we proposed index (CESI) integrating based on multiplicative method. Water supply service, carbon storage service and soil conservation were assessed using multi-sources remote sensing datasets InVEST models build CESI. To examine suitability performance CESI, took Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Areas (GBA) as test region. Meanwhile, applied two previous methods used commonly assessing ESs: i) cumulative method ii) maximum value composite construct comparative indexes evaluating CESI with help spatial autocorrelation regression analysis from pattern numerical distribution The results showed that was well GBA got rid limitation single ES. observed high-value clustering central areas low-value outer regions. comparison illustrated linear autocorrelation, which good correlation between each similar clustering, but had subtle different clustering. Rapid urbanization has brought about continuous urban expansion, which put enormous pressure on ecosystems. In this paper, we take both temporal and spatial dimensions into account to discuss the interaction between various ecological services (ESs) in Shandong Province based data at different scales. We utilize InVEST model for quantifying ESs indicators. Pearson correlation analysis geographically weighted regression were used investigate relationship with four The results of study indicate that development urbanization, regulating supporting land province show an upward trend. contrast, supply a downward There is significant (p < 0.05). Regarding sub-indicators, water yield (WY) increases carbon sequestration (CS)/grain providing (GP)/habitat quality (HQ) are negatively correlated Geographically regressions fit well only when choose counties as scale, there clear tendency aggregation. summary, paper clarifies spatio-temporal variation response provides effective reference ecosystem management Province. Ecosystem services (ESs) have been widely used in the management and protection of regional ecosystems. Among numerous influencing factors, climate vegetation are important factors affecting ESs. Nevertheless, unraveling intricate non-linear relationship between ESs fluctuations fractional cover (FVC) remains an elusive task, particularly within dynamic context mountainous terrains. Therefore, Qinling Mountains (QL) was selected as study area, four major (habitat quality, water yield, carbon sequestration soil conservation) were quantified, two key points (threshold point critical high supply) determined by elastic analysis constraint line respectively. The results showed that influence thresholds temperature FVC on 13.2 °C 57%, is maintained at a level when < 11.04 °C, precipitation > 840 mm, 57%. According to threshold supply, sensitive areas supply divided In addition, based above divisions, we obtained ecosystem planning map area put forward corresponding practical suggestions for different regions. This satisfies docking research decision-making requirements provides theoretical scientific basis restoration sustainable ecological environments.
