Analyzing the evolution of regional habitat quality is an important means to assess impact engineering activities on ecosystems. Taking Xiangyu in Feng River Basin as study area, land use change 1985 and 2022 was analyzed, degradation degree were evaluated by using Integrated Assessment Tradeoff Ecosystem Services (InVEST) model. The results showed that from 2022, transfer types mainly occurred dry land, bare forest industrial land. area converted into 10,825.15 m2 249,123.09 m2, respectively, affected measures returning farmland grassland Shaanxi Province, transferred reached 371,471.87 continuous expansion led a significant decline quality, areas with high concentrated large range, which indicated vulnerable expansion. Land human are main factors affecting ecological environment, limiting rate key protecting environment.

Introduction Investigation of the evolutionary trend habitat quality in karst and rocky desertification zones is crucial for enhancing ecological security conservation. Methods Analysis land use statistics from years 2000, 2010, 2020, changes (HQ) (LULC) between 2000 2020 were analyzed using Huize County Yunnan Province as an example. The InVEST FLUS models applied to simulate LULC under different scenarios 2030 2040 assess spatial gradients at each timepoint factors influencing them. Results findings indicated that (1) predominant types are grassland woodland, experiencing most significant growth urbanized areas, main sources which paddy fields high-cover grassland. (2) was average displayed a consistent decline. distribution pattern indicates low HQ urban high outskirts, south-west, north-east. In all four scenarios, predominantly decreases areas regions with dense concentration built-up land. (3) Habitat primarily affected by type use, NDVI being secondary determinant. Discussion environment must be restored safeguarded focus on priorities harmonious development scenarios. This study provides methodological lessons ecorestoration policymakers karstic desertification.

ABSTRACT The Three‐North Shelterbelt Engineering of China (TNSEC) is a large‐scale ecological restoration project that was initiated in 1978 to enhance the environment Region (TNSER). However, macro long‐term data and driving mechanisms behind habitat quality TNSER remain inadequately understood. Therefore, multi‐source observational data, InVEST model, spatial analysis techniques were employed quantify spatiotemporal evolution since 1980. Additionally, Optimal Parameters‐based Geographical Detector (OPGD) model utilized quantitatively elucidate changes quality. has remained stable from 1980 2020, exhibiting significant agglomeration characteristics. Areas with higher are demonstrating trend expansion, while regions poor experiencing fragmentation expansion. It anticipated will continue future; however, areas their adjacent zones showing signs deterioration. Changes within influenced by multiple factors, primarily socio‐economic factors nature, GDP accounting for 55% variations This study offers valuable recommendations policymakers sustainable development perspective, highlighting critical role projects enhancing environmental amidst ongoing challenges.
