The agri-food system plays a critical role in meeting global food demand, with traceability and safety becoming key priorities for producers consumers. Consumer trust, influenced by perceptions of safety, quality origin, has been declining due to the complexity supply chain. Blockchain technology (BCT) emerged as promising solution increase transparency, ensure data immutability, improve quality. This study employs systematic literature review methodology analyze consumer BCT sector. Using PRISMA method, articles from Scopus®, Web Science®, PubMed® were reviewed, focusing on publications 2019 2023. A total 34 relevant studies identified examined determine factors influencing acceptance BCT-tracked foods. Results indicate that ngness pay, perception traceability, perceived risk are variables BCT. Trust is supported its ability integrity which significantly influences behavior adoption intentions. Consumers' willingness pay products their awareness understanding benefits improving safety. In addition, BCT's potential reduce chain transparency further enhances trust. conclusion, promoting confidence through transparent information provided essential widespread order educate consumers about promote greater acceptance, recommends targeted communication strategies. Purpose This study examines how production and environmental information transparency affect online consumer trust their purchase intention for green agricultural products. Design/methodology/approach Using signaling theory, the combines structural equation modeling (SEM) necessary conditions analysis (NCA) to examine sufficiency necessity. SEM analyzes links between transparency, intention, while NCA identifies building intentions among consumers. Findings First, improves general (GT), boosts both GT swift (ST). Second, ST promote consumers’ (OCPI). Third, is GT, supports ST. Additionally, are OCPI. These findings indicate that help enhance trust, thereby increasing intentions. Practical implications The offer guidance businesses in designing trust-building strategies provide recommendations policymakers on incentivizing practices product producers. Investigating the correlation between information disclosure and consumers’ purchasing decisions is crucial for comprehending consumer behavior mechanisms stimulating their buying behavior. Drawing upon signaling theory “stimulus-organism-response” (S-O-R) model, this research leverages questionnaire responses from 338 consumers. It utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to investigate influence fundamental of environmental disclosure, trust (competence, benevolence, integrity), online purchase intention green agricultural products. The antecedents required are identified through Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA). This shows that regarding origins products positively impacts intention, with competence benevolence being as playing intermediary roles in relationship, while integrity does not play a significant mediating role. about product’s origin necessary condition influencing decisions. Merchants encouraged proactively disclose more advised focus on maintaining enhance intentions, thereby fostering advancement consumption.
