With the use of life cycle assessment (LCA), this study investigates environmental advantages thermochemical processes utilizing forest residues produce valuable energy-dense products, like syngas, bio-oil, biochar, providing sink. While slow pyrolysis emphasizes biochar production sequestration, gasification focuses on bioenergy generation. This research evaluates performance both techniques in terms sequestration GHG mitigation. comprehensive analysis aims identify critical factors influencing sustainability management.
