Hyperuricemia is independently associated with a poor prognosis in patients myocardial infarction (MI). Furthermore, MI induces activation of the repair response local fibroblasts, resulting extracellular matrix accumulation that generates stable fibrotic scar infarcted area. However, researchers have not determined whether hyperuricemia affects fibroblast and its involvement postinfarction cardiac remodeling.

Abstract Background Gout prediction is essential for the development of individualized prevention and treatment plans. Our objective was to develop an efficient interpretable machine learning (ML) model using SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) link dietary fiber triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index predict gout. Methods Using datasets from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) (2005–2018) population study fiber, TyG used After evaluating performance six ML models selecting Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM) as optimal algorithm, we interpret LGBM predicting gout SHAP reveal decision-making process model. Results An initial survey 70,190 participants conducted, after a gradual exclusion process, 12,645 cases were finally included in study. Selection best performing associated with (Area under ROC curve (AUC): 0.823, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.798–0.848, Accuracy: 95.3%, Brier score: 0.077). The feature importance values indicated that age most important affecting output, followed by uric acid (UA). showed lower had more pronounced effect on positive model, while higher Conclusion high accuracy, efficiency, robustness Increasing intake lowering are beneficial reducing potential risk

Background The relationship between systemic inflammatory index (SII), sex steroid hormones, dietary antioxidants (DA), and gout has not been determined. We aim to develop a reliable interpretable machine learning (ML) model that links SII, DA identification. Methods dataset we used study the DA, was from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Six ML models were developed identify by DA. seven performance discriminative features of each summarized, eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) with best overall selected gout. SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) method explain XGBoost its decision-making process. Results An initial survey 20,146 participants resulted in 8,550 being included study. Selecting performing associated (male: AUC: 0.795, 95% CI: 0.746- 0.843, accuracy: 98.7%; female: 0.822, 0.754- 0.883, 99.2%). In male group, SHAP values showed lower feature lutein + zeaxanthin (LZ), vitamin C (VitC), lycopene, zinc, total testosterone (TT), E (VitE), A (VitA), greater positive effect on output. female E2, LZ, TT, selenium had Conclusion demonstrated accuracy, efficiency, robustness identifying associations participants. Plantago asiatica L., a perennial herb in the family Plantaginaceae, has been shown to impart several pharmacologic activities, including anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic effects. In study here, anti-gout(y) arthritis (GA) effects of crude extract from P. L. (PAE) were investigated rat GA model. For this, PAE was prepared by ethanol extraction analyzed for phytochemicals RP-HPLC Q-TOF-MS. Thereafter, potential therapeutic rats; Wistar rats (male, 8 wk-of-age) randomly allocated into four groups (n = 9/group) intra-articularly injected with 3 mg monosodium urate (MSU) saline solution establish study, received oral dosings 0.3 colchicine/kg or 1 g PAE/kg (w/w) before after gout established. At fixed times treatments, assessment joint swelling ratios pathological changes joints, as well select cytokine expression blood, done. results showed contained at least 'active' ingredients, plantamajoside, verbascoside, cymaroside being most abundant. comparison control rats, MSU induced space narrowing, ankle swelling, increased levels pro-inflammatory interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-17a, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interferon (IFN)-γ, reductions anti-inflammatory IL-10 blood. treatment significantly reversed patho- genic narrowing MSU-induced inflammatory factors, general imparted very similar those seen colchicine (COL; known non-steroidal drug clinical GA). Collectively, these findings provide experimental evidence supporting applicability treat gouty arthritis.
