Lithium-ion batteries have become a crucial part of the energy supply chain for transportation (in electric vehicles) and renewable storage systems. Recycling is considered one most effective ways recovering materials spent LIB streams circulating material in critical chain. However, few review articles been published research domain recycling circular economy, with mainly focusing on either methods or challenges opportunities economy LIBs. This paper reviewed 93 (66 original 27 articles) identified Web Science core collection database. The study showed that publications area are increasing exponentially, many recovery-related issues; policy regulatory affairs received less attention than recycling. Most studies were experiments followed by evaluation planning (as per categorization made). Pre-treatment processes widely discussed, which hydrometallurgy direct physical (DPR). DPR promising technique requires further attention. Some issues require consideration include techno-economic assessment process, safe reverse logistics, global EV revealing recovery potential, lifecycle (both hydrometallurgical pyrometallurgical processes). Furthermore, application business model associated stakeholders’ engagement, clear definitive guidelines, extended producer responsibility implications, tracking, identification deserve focus. presents several future directions would be useful academics policymakers taking necessary steps such as product design, integrated techniques, intra-industry stakeholder cooperation, development, analysis, others towards achieving value

The automotive industry has used plastics almost since the beginning. lightness, flexibility, and many qualities of make them ideal for industry, reducing cars’ overall weight fuel consumption. Engineering in this belong to high-performance segment non-renewable resources. These exhibit higher properties than commodity plastics. Fortunately, unlike recycled plastics, super characteristics engineering effectively reused after recycling. substitution these fossil-fuel-derived adds solution lightweighting, a much-needed waste management, solves industrial ecological issues surrounding plastic disposal. All major vehicle manufacturers worldwide use bioplastics bio-based including natural-fiber composites reinforced with natural fibers. Changing source raw materials from renewable resources is logical approach sustainability. Thus, high-quality biodegradable could be exploited design, making sustainability an integral concept mobility development. This review analyzes that switching fossil-fuel- renewable-sources-derived step toward meeting current environmental goals electric cars.

Sustainable Development Goal 7 highlights the importance of affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy. Transition to clean energy is vital for achieving climate action goals. Hydrogen can serve as a carrier, with potential decarbonize industry, transportation, other sectors. As 2021, hydrogen was mainly produced using fossil fuels (grey hydrogen), only about 1 % global output renewable (green hydrogen). The transition green requires new production, storage, distribution facilities which challenging implement due lack associated infrastructure high upfront costs. This study highlighted barriers opportunities technologies by reviewing evidence establishing links Goals (SDGs). review identified fifty-two forty-six challenges linked SDGs1, 2, 4.6, 7, 9, 11, 12 13. Out all production most common choice noted in the. Technical were found have positively impact society environment, but costs be barrier. To reduce economic barriers, recommendations include analysing subsidies working further on development policies regulations support scaling-up systems.
