Climate change has become a major global challenge. At present, few studies have reviewed the application practices and theoretical research of carbon neutrality. This paper summarizes practical progress neutrality, realization path neutrality in typical fields, concludes that previous made some goal domestic overseas, pathways to issues various fields. However, this also points out existing problems. Firstly, more should be carried on quantitative evaluation by adopting empircal datas tools fields; Secondly, correlation between paths industries taken attention; Additionally, how measure neutral capability, d potential costis great significance subsequent studies.

This study analyzes the effect of renewable energy research & development (RRD) and nuclear (NRD) expenditures on environmental quality by considering Germany's goal achieving carbon neutrality until 2045. Hence, uses various indicators (carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, ecological footprint-EF, load capacity factor-LCF) to investigate effects RRD NRD controlling also a gross domestic product (GDP) test validity Kuznets curve (EKC) recently proposed (LCC) hypotheses. Also, includes yearly data from 1974 2018, fractional frequency Fourier autoregressive distributive lag (FADL) based FMOLS approach as main model, applies FADL DOLS wavelet causality for robustness. The empirical results reveal that (i) explanatory variables have cointegration link with CO2 emissions EF; (ii) EKC hypothesis is valid Germany, while LCC invalid; (iii) are effective only in reducing emissions; (iv) no significant EF. Considering results, German policymakers could utilize more effectively efficiently improve reduce In this way, Germany achieve its middle century benefiting facilities.

Abstract In the contemporary era, tackling climate change‐related problems has become a vital environmental policy agenda, especially for realizing targets related to SDG‐13. Therefore, this study aims check efficacy of scaling public investments in research and development renewable energy countering causes effects change leading energy‐investing countries. Overall, findings verify change‐inhibiting impact such investments. By contrast, consumption natural resources urbanization are identified as factors responsible piling up concerns long run while no net exports, regard, is evidenced. Moreover, long‐run results affirm that investment projects also exerts moderating partially neutralizing adverse associated with resource urbanization. Furthermore, evidenced mediate repercussions exports on run. Based these key findings, it recommended scale budgetary allocations financing technology development‐oriented initiatives, enhancing efficiency rate utilization, deploying environmentally sustainable policies achieving concerning objectives

Research and development (R&D) is frequently touted labelled as the fundamental engine for creating sustainable innovations achieving climate transitions. Yet, recent R&D efforts have struggled to live up widespread life-altering results they delivered in 1960s when term was coined. In our attempt address this concern, we propose a sustainability pathway model an economically viable innovation system that anchored three important pointers of which long been viewed mutually distinct components budgets—investment, talent, learning institutions. Directing attention pervasive need align investments with talents institutions, delineate how these coming together constitute trivalent force may drive growth-boosting system. While there no simple recipe suggests optimal combination new scientific understanding, technologies, process could help produce much-needed technological change, present set propositions highlights opportunities reflection on existing investment strategies serves bridge connect emergent scholarship intellectual traditions management.
