Orthosiphon aristatus (O. aristatus), Andrographis paniculata (A. paniculata), and Gynura segetum (G. segetum) leaves were subjected as raw material to obtain phytochemical compounds using sub-critical water extraction (SWE) technique. In a semi-batch process, the was performed for ∼150 min time at 120 – 160°C 3 10 MPa. The Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT–IR) spectrum depicted that phenolic flavonoid liberated from each medicinal plant in aforementioned-temperature range. second-order kinetic Weibull models also may properly represent describe kinetics curves of sample these operating conditions (120 MPa). amounts could approach 284.73 mg GAE/g dried (140°C, MPa) 232.89 CE/g MPa), respectively.

Mango seed kernel (MSK) extract contains phytochemicals, bioactives, and fatty acids that are of interest to food nutritional scientists. The subcritical water extraction process (SCWE) can be effective in extracting valuable bioactives from MSK. In this study, SCWE was investigated optimized for the MSK using Box–Behnken experimental design. yield examined as a function various variables, namely, solvent-to-feed (L/S) ratio, temperature (T), time (t). Analysis variance (ANOVA) results showed most significant variable impacted yield. A maximum 52.3% obtained at conditions L/S ratio = 20.7, T 116.5 °C, t 45 min. Antioxidant assessment higher total phenolic content (19.2 mg GAE/g), DPPH ABTS radical scavenging activity (>91%), than extracts by conventional hot ultra-sound assisted extraction. Furthermore, an natural preservative its inclusion (20% v/v) improved oxidative stability cow ghee with par performance synthetic butylated hydroxyanisole antioxidant (0.02% w/v). Thus, study demonstrated green method production could applied preservation products.

Oral mucositis (OM), a common side effect of oncological treatment, is an oral mucosal disorder characterized by painful ulcerations and increased risk infection. The use natural antioxidants to suppress the redox imbalance responsible for OM condition has emerged as interesting approach prevent/treat OM. This study aims explore chestnut (Castana sativa) shells potential active ingredient against Therefore, were extracted at different temperatures (110-180 °C) Subcritical Water Extraction (SWE), aiming recover antioxidants. extracts also evaluated microorganisms present in cavity well on human cell lines (TR146 HSC3). highest phenolic content was obtained with extraction temperature 110 °C, exhibiting best antioxidant/antiradical activities scavenging efficiencies HOCl (IC50 = 4.47 μg/mL) ROO• (0.73 μmol TE/mg DW). High concentrations acids (e.g., gallic protocatechuic acids) flavanoids (catechin, epicatechin rutin) profile. antimicrobial activity several during OM, such Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Escherichia, demonstrated. Finally, effects HSC3 TR146 revealed that extract prepared °C had lowest IC50 (1325.03 468.15 µg/mL, respectively). highlights
