Abstract Ecological security is a vital component of regional and significantly influences sustainable development. The assessment ecological the cornerstone relative research to coordinate protection economic developments. However, framework that enables systematic still needs further exploration. A includes ecosystem organization ( O ), quality Q services S ) was proposed evaluate in southeast Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau (QTP) this study. Results showed that: (1) From 2000 2020, study area an improving trend, with 61.33% counties experiencing increase value; (2) increasing proportion increased areas amounting 54.46%, occupied 3.38% area; (3) total trend decreased, among them, habitat provision soil conservation both presented while water yield performed decreased trend; (4) QTP has been improved, which north south part. Overall, our provided novel view characterize physical status natural environment enriched methodology assessment. More attention should be received by different roles organization, quality, future studies, helpful reflect current situation changing trends more reasonably comprehensively.

Land use patterns affect soil erosion processes and conservation services. Identifying key landscape pattern affecting services is critical for improving optimizing land patterns. In this study, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP), where ecosystem are important, was selected as research area. Based on use, meteorological, vegetation data, RUSLE model used to estimate quantitatively from 2000 2020. The temporal changes in metrics were analyzed using Fragstats, response of by correlation analysis. showed an obvious change trend. general, overall QTP became more diversified fragmented, shape tended become complicated. Patch density (PD), edge (ED), index (LSI), splitting (SPLIT), Shannon's diversity (SHDI), evenness (SHEI) increasing trends, while largest patch (LPI), mean area (AREA_MN), aggregation (AI), contagion (CONTAG) decreasing trends. At class level, variations different types big difference. 20-year period, generally rise. spatial heterogeneity decreased south-east north-west. PD ED positively correlated with function, AREA_MN AI had a negative function. effect metric variation capacity significantly differed among types. Results offer reasonable evidence management, water retention function improvement regional ecological protection QTP.
