Abstract Building resilient cities has become an emerging risk management strategy, thus it is necessary to make a scientific evaluation on urban resilience. In this study, both the Driving Force-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) framework and BP neural network were innovatively adopted construct comprehensive resilience model. Prefecture-level in Hubei Province examined for empirical analysis. The results showed that: (1) Urban dynamic process of change. level was influenced primarily by two major factors: driving force response. (2) had been improving steadily from 2015 2021, but there spatial negative correlation among them. Owing uneven development within Province, can be apparently seen that Wuhan, provincial capital, holds dominant position. (3) Resource environmental pressure main obstacle construction Wuhan. primary limiting factors other are degree socioeconomic growth capacity government handle affairs. This study not only enriched theory methods evaluation, also important reference value formulate effective sustainable strategies.

The Plateau Lake Area in Central Yunnan has undergone agglomerated socio-economic development. At the same time, its fragile ecosystems, complex ecological problems, and rapid urbanization have continued to challenge security led prominent contradictions between protection Herein, natural geographic information kilometer grid data associated with were used measure resilience (ER) level (UL) 2000, 2010, 2019, spatial–temporal features of ER elucidated. impacts on at raster zoning scales by using optimal parameters-based geographical detector (OPGD) model. results indicate that central urban areas Kunming decrease, plateau lake regions showing low ER. Furthermore, hindered ER, influence increased significantly from 2010 2019. Although negative effect land was most significant, aggregation population economy did not inevitably lead dominant drivers varied across districts counties, depending their development status. Decoupling agricultural economic growth from water pollution is of great importance to regional sustainable development. It necessary further explore the decoupling state and key driving factors connecting on basis accurate measurement pollution. Accordingly, taking Yellow River Basin (YRB) as research object, this study combined footprint theory, Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) model Tapio (TDM) conduct an in-depth analysis connection between grey (AGWF) in YRB. Specifically, first calculated AGWF YRB during 2016–2021 objectively evaluated resource utilization region based AGWF. Then, LMDI was used Finally, states its with GDP (AGDP) were studied using TDM. The main results are follows: (1) overall showed a decreasing trend slow increase, by 5.39% 2021 compared 2016. (2) primary promoting factor inhibiting reduction efficiency effect effect, respectively. (3) AGDP presented strong (SD) then weak (WD) period. intensity (AGWFI) changed expansive negative (END) SD. population remained This will contribute alleviating help policymakers water-stressed countries formulate management policies.

The ecological health of Hebei Province is critical to the sustainable development Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. However, increasing intensity land use in recent years has placed significant pressure on local ecosystems, making it essential understand how changes affect resilience across different regions and time periods. This study takes as research area selects four points—1990, 2000, 2010, 2020—to systematically evaluate spatiotemporal variations using indicators such water resource supply, climate regulation, hydrological biodiversity, landscape pattern index, types. employs spatial analysis methodologies, including autocorrelation model Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model, analyze clustering patterns, heterogeneity, influencing mechanisms. Scenario simulations are also conducted predict trends 2030 under a scenario. results indicate that (1) over past 30 years, both have generally increased, with notable disparities among cities. (2) Moreover, negative correlation exists between intensity, GWR revealing pronounced heterogeneity. impact relatively minor highly urbanized central southern regions, while northern northwestern more sensitive changes, highlighting need for better coordination planning protection. (3) Finally, scenario slight overall decline by 2030, cities projected experience largest decreases, some expected see modest improvements. These findings underscore importance regionally differentiated management protection strategies. provides scientific evidence recommendations improve environmental Province. At same time, this contributes deeper understanding dynamics influence resilience. methodologies presented can be applied guide other rapidly urbanizing areas, providing valuable framework addressing facing similar challenges.

The priority zoning restoration was delineated combination with composite (ACI). By exploring influence disturbances RESI, locations were determined using statistics linear regression methods. Results overall showed a decline from 2001 to 2020, mean value decreasing 0.52 0.48. High-quality zones mainly located mountainous forested areas, while low-quality distributed more developed cities east urban area. ABSTRACT High‐quality development in agriculture is crucial for maintaining the harmonious balance between human society and natural environment, promoting this model one of key measures to alleviate land degradation issues. This study, grounded PRED theory (Population, Resources, Environment, Development theory) framework, establishes an evaluation system high‐quality agricultural by selecting 128 cities within Yangtze River Economic Belt as its samples. It quantifies carrying capacity, utilizes Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) assess production efficiency, applies Tapio decoupling analyze interplay these two factors. The results reveal that resource index has risen from 1.245 1.70, indicating escalating tension population food resources. Furthermore, efficiency seen a 16.56% increase, reflecting positive advancements across region. Spatial distribution analysis shows standard deviation ellipse concentrated mid lower reaches, centered Changde, Hunan, expanding westward, with broader coverage area perimeter. Additionally, relationship capacity primarily manifests three forms: strong negative decoupling, weak expansive decoupling. research offers significant insights effectively mitigating strain growth resource‐environmental capacity.
