Inter-provincial trade is accompanied by the transfer of embodied pollution emissions, leading to emissions leakage, thereby hindering sustainable development society. Therefore, it imperative analyze characteristics pollutant emission and spatial driven inter-provincial trade. In this study, quantitative six main pollutants (i.e., SO2, NOX, CO, VOC, PM2.5, PM10) were analyzed a hypothetical extraction method (HEM) complex network analysis (CNA) under an input–output (IOA) framework. Then, row arrange series (RAS) was employed simulate impacts varying levels intensity, economic growth rate, technological progress on spatial-transfer characteristics. The major findings are as follows: (i) increase in led corresponding rise due relocation production activities towards provinces with higher intensity. Excessive responsibility assumed such Shanxi Hebei, engaging outsourcing for reducing pollutants. (ii) macro direction paths from resource-rich northern central trade-developed southern provinces. Sectors path, industry sectors Shanxi, Guangdong, Henan, transport sector exhibited high centrality dominated network. (iii) sector, characterized substantial energy consumption, predominant emitter all production-based accounting more than 40% total emissions. This study conducive analyzing developing reduction policies considering equitable allocation responsibilities both consumption perspectives.

The energy transition requires substantial financial investments and the adoption of innovative technological solutions. aim this paper is to analyze economic aspects implementing zero-emission strategies as a key component toward carbon-neutral economy. study assesses costs, benefits, challenges these strategies, with particular focus on wind farms nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMRs). presents an in-depth examination examples, onshore offshore farms, well from both large-scale reactors. It highlights their construction operating associated challenges. investment required generate 1 MW varies significantly depending technology: range $1,300,000 $2,100,000, $3,000,000 $5,500,000, traditional power plants $5,000,000, while (SMRs) require between $5,000,000 $10,000,000 per MW. discussion underscores critical role in diversifying renewable sources addressing high capital requirements technical complexities emerging SMRs. By evaluating solutions, article contributes broader understanding essential for advancing sustainable future.

Introduction In order to achieve the coordinated development of environmental protection and economic growth, China has implemented a series policies. However, relationship between policy growth is ambiguous due regional differences. Methods this study, data 30 provinces in from 2010 2019 collected establish three panel threshold models with different variables analyze environment growth. Results The results study are as follows: (1) when R&D level less than 9.890, detrimental When 9.890 10.077, slightly positive impact on exceeds significant effect (2) 9.469, (3) industrial dependence 0.372, promotes Discussion novelty that there proved nonlinear it concluded influence geographically different. We have made certain suggestions will help win-win situation for both development.
