Abstract This study investigates the complex interplay between financial and economic development within Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) countries—Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea—from 2000 to 2022, with a focus on impacts of natural resource rents energy efficiency. Employing moment quantile regression address non‐normal data distribution identified by Jarque–Bera (JB) test, we unveil diverse slopes cross‐sectional interdependencies, necessitating nuanced examination. Panel unit root tests confirm non‐stationarity, enabling thorough investigation. Our findings reveal long‐term cointegration relationship rents, efficiency, development, foreign direct investment (FDI), providing holistic understanding their dynamics. Notably, our analysis exposes trade‐off abundance growth, as evidenced negative coefficients for while positive FDI counterbalance this effect, fostering conducive environment. Additionally, examination location scale characteristics unveils vulnerabilities associated resources alongside stability indicators linked FDI. By employing regression, sheds light resources, offering valuable insights policymakers researchers in navigating sustainable RCEP framework.

Clarifying the temporal and spatial characteristics of regional carbon emissions low-carbon efficiency is great significance for realization peaking neutrality. This study calculated in Sichuan Province from 2015 to 2022 based on four major units: energy activity, industrial production, forestry waste disposal, its time evolution key sources were investigated. Meanwhile, Super-SBM-Undesirable model, 21 cities (states) was evaluated, heterogeneity The empirical results reveal following: (1) activity main contributor emissions, with thermal power generation terminal consumption as sectors. Inter-regional allocation could indirectly reduce emission intensity. production showed significant aggregation cement steel production. forest sink had a effect alleviating greenhouse effect. disposal small. (2) From 2022, an overall upward trend. Chengdu high level economic development, reasonable organization, continuous increase urban greening rate. Heavy such Panzhihua Deyang made efforts eliminate backward capacity transformation industries. Therefore, they first mover advantage regions transformation. Zigong, Mianyang, Suining, Leshan enjoyed favorable preferential policies energy-saving space, developmental But need actively deal problem solidification. plateau areas western relatively low, but have unique resource endowment advantages clean hydropower, so development potential strong. Cities Ya’an Bazhong faced series challenges weak geographical risk pollution haven. They
