Abstract Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a recurring autoimmune disorder characterized by persistent inflammation in the mucosal lining of lower part large intestine. Conventional treatment options such as salicylates, corticosteroids, and immunosuppressants often come with severe side effects, limited bioavailability, development drug resistance, which hampers their therapeutic effectiveness. Therefore, it imperative to explore natural strategies safe alternative treatments for UC. Currently, around 40% UC patients find relief through constituents, can help reduce toxic effects maintain clinical remission. This review aims provide summary both preclinical evidence supporting efficacy various substances prophylaxis These include plant extracts, essential oils, nutraceuticals, phytochemicals. Furthermore, we will delve into potential mechanisms that underlie protective curative actions these novel herbal agents. In summary, this effectiveness remedies UC, shedding light on findings behind actions. alternatives offer hope improved outcomes reduced individuals suffering from challenging condition. Graphical

Amaç: Lavanta yağı, Lamiaceae ailesinin önemli bir üyesi olan lavanta bitkisinden elde edilen ve çeşitli terapötik etkilerle öne çıkan uçucu yağdır. Tarihsel olarak, antik medeniyetlerden günümüze kadar antibakteriyel, antienflamatuar, anksiyolitik, antifungal yara iyileştirici özellikleri nedeniyle geniş kullanım alanı bulmuştur. yağının temel bileşenleri linalool linalil asetat, sinir sistemi üzerinde yatıştırıcı etkiler gösterirken, inflamasyonu oksidatif stresi azaltarak kronik hastalıkların tedavisine yardımcı olabilmektedir. Yapılan araştırmalar, nörolojik bozukluklardan kansere uzanan etki spektrumu olduğunu ortaya koymuş, ancak bu etkilerin moleküler düzeyde nasıl gerçekleştiği henüz tam olarak anlaşılmamıştır. Çalışmanın amacı güncel literatürü mikroRNA’lar çerçevesinde derlemektir. Yöntem: içeriği “Lavanta yağı”, “miRNA”, “epigenetik”, “gen ifadesi” anahtar kelimelerinin kombinasyonları ile PubMed, Google akademik, Web of science Science direct veri tabanlarından yapılan taramalarla oluşturulmuştur. Bulgular: Son yıllarda, esansiyel yağların genetik epigenetik düzeydeki etkileri durulmakta miRNA'lar olası etkileşimleri incelenmektedir. miRNA'ların gen ekspresyonunun düzenlenmesindeki kritik rolü göz önüne alındığında, özellikle stres, depresyon inflamasyonla ilişkili miRNA'ları etkileyerek mekanizmaları modüle etme potansiyeli büyük araştırma karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Ancak, alandaki literatür eksikliği dikkat çekmektedir. etkilerinin daha iyi anlaşılması, üzerindeki etkilerine odaklanan çalışmaların artmasıyla mümkün olacaktır. Sonuç: Gelecekteki çalışmalar, biyolojideki yerini sağlamlaştırabilir klinik kullanımı genişletebilir. Bu doğrultuda, biyolojik mekanizmalarını aydınlatmak, onu tedavisinde etkili araç haline getirebilir.

Mesosphaerum suaveolens (L.) Kuntze (Syn. Hyptis Poit.) is a wild essential-oil-bearing plant having multiple uses in traditional medicine, perfumery, food, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries. The present paper the first report on vitro anti-inflammatory effects of leaf essential oil M. (MSLEO) unravels its molecular mechanism LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. GC-MS analysis (EO) isolated from leaves by hydro-distillation led to identification 48 constituents, accounting for 90.55% total oil, β-caryophyllene (16.17%), phyllocladene (11.85%), abietatriene (11.46%), spathulenol (7.89%) were found be major components. MSLEO treatment had no effect viability cells up concentration 100 μg/mL, EO was responsible reduction proinflammatory cytokines like IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, decrease intracellular ROS production, restoration oxidative damage elevating levels endogenous antioxidative enzymes CAT, SOD, GPx, GSH. RT-qPCR indicated that reduced mRNA expression iNOS COX-2 as compared LPS-induced group. In addition, confocal microscopy showed inhibited translocation NF-κB cytosol nucleus. results this experiment demonstrate possesses significant potential preventing activation NF-κB, which, turn, inhibits downstream other inflammatory mediators associated with pathway Thus, may prove promising therapeutic agent inflammation, targeting signaling considered an attractive approach therapies.
