ABSTRACT Mume Fructus (MF), a representative substance in the field of medicine‐food homology, has been extensively utilized clinical treatments and daily diets for its raw processed forms. This study aimed to establish spectrum‐effect relationship between ultra–high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole tandem time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS/MS) fingerprints anti‐inflammatory antitussive activities MF extracts. In UHPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS/MS fingerprints, total 21 common peaks were identified. Bioactivity assays demonstrated that extracts exhibited varying degrees effects. Subsequently, relevant pharmacologically active ingredients screened by grey relation analysis partial least squares regression. The results showed nine components associated effects, namely, citric acid, isochlorogenic acid B, A, C, fumaric gallic neochlorogenic chlorogenic ononin. Additionally, three linked activity: amygdalin, syringic succinic respectively. work developed model combining findings provide reference discovery bioactive contribute rationalization medications.

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is a major pathogen that causes significant economic losses in the global poultry industry. Current vaccination strategies provide only partial protection, highlighting need for more effective prevention and treatment methods. This study aimed to develop novel compound throat anti-viral (CTA) from natural plants using data Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance System identification through liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. CTA demonstrated substantial anti-IBV effects both vitro vivo studies. In vitro, significantly inhibited IBV multiplication alleviated pathological lesions chicken embryonic kidney cells, tracheal rings, embryos. vivo, seven-day with obtained much milder clinical signs, enhanced growth performance, better immune organ indices infected chickens. Additionally, reduced levels trachea lungs increased specific antibody titers. also maintained body homeostasis, exhibiting strong antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties mitigated respiratory tract damage. Abstract This study investigates the molecular mechanism of Ma Huang‐Ku Xing Ren, a traditional Chinese medicine formula, in treating pediatric pneumonia. The focus is on regulation caspase‐3 activation and reduction alveolar macrophage necrosis through network pharmacology bioinformatics analyses Ephedra bitter almond components. Active compounds targets from ephedrine were obtained using TCMSP, TCMID, GeneCards databases, identifying pneumonia‐related genes. A protein–protein interaction (PPI) was constructed, core screened. GO KEGG pathway enrichment identified relevant genes pathways. An acute pneumonia mouse model created lipopolysaccharide (LPS) inhalation method, with overexpression induced by lentivirus. mice treated gastric lavage. Lung tissue damage, inflammatory markers (IL‐18 IL‐1β), cell death‐related gene assessed H&E staining, ELISA, western blot, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence. 128 active 121 almond. PPI revealed 13 proteins, analysis indicated involvement inflammation, apoptosis, necrosis, particularly pathway. In vivo results showed that treatment significantly mitigated LPS‐induced lung injury mice, reducing scores marker levels. It also decreased activity death macrophages. conclusion, ingredients targeting caspase‐3, may effectively treat apoptosis macrophages, as demonstrated both pharmacology, analyses, experimental data.

Background Despite advances in medical science, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) continues to impact patients’ lives significantly, due symptom management limitations. Cheongsangboha-tang (CSBHT; Qing Shang Bu Xia Tang) and Hyunggaeyeongyo-tang (HGYGT; Jing Jie Lian Qiao have been used treat respiratory diseases, including COPD. However, clinical data supporting their efficacy are lacking. We prospectively observed the response of patients with COPD CSBHT HGYGT as adjunctive therapies assessed feasibility future research. Methods Patients who were prescribed or according practice protocol Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital recruited. Participants visited hospital every month, for 6 months, receive herbal preparations a doctor’s diagnosis prescription outcome evaluations. The primary was 6-min walking test (6-MWT). Secondary outcomes included function (PFT), Assessment Test (CAT), St. George’s Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ), modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) score. Syndrome differentiation, adverse events, patient adherence recorded. Results Thirty-seven initially enrolled followed up mean period 154.1 days. 36 patients, while one received either HGYGT, both, throughout entire period. During preparation treatment period, no statistically significant changes 6-MWT. CAT score (mean ± standard deviation) changed from 17.0 5.0 12.5 3.6, visual analogue scale dyspnea 47.5 18.9 28.4 18.6 (both visit 5). coronavirus 2019 pandemic precluded PFT. SGRQ mMRC scores did not change significantly. study seven dropped out, two experienced mild dyspepsia, headache. No serious effects observed.
