Single-atom catalysts with well-defined atomic structures and precisely regulated coordination environments have been recognized as potential substitutes for natural metalloenzymes. Inspired by the metal structure of enzymes, we show here that oxidase-like activity single-atom Co greatly depends on their local N around catalytic sites. We synthesized a series different nitrogen numbers (Co–Nx(C), x = 2, 3, 4) demonstrated could be effectively tailored fine-tuning coordination. Among studied catalysts, Co–N3(C) three-coordinate atoms shows optimum oxygen adsorption robust reactive species (ROS) generation, thus presenting preferable activity. This work facilitates future development rational nanozyme designs targeting reactions at level.

Abstract Severe systemic inflammation following myocardial infarction (MI) is a major cause of patient mortality. MI‐induced can trigger the production free radicals, which in turn ultimately leads to increased cardiac lesions (i.e., inflammation‐free radicals cycle), resulting heart failure and death. However, currently available anti‐inflammatory drugs have limited efficacy due their weak effect poor accumulation at site. Herein, novel Fe‐Cur@TA nanozyme developed for targeted therapy MI, generated by coordinating Fe 3+ drug curcumin (Cur) with further modification tannic acid (TA). Such exhibits excellent scavenging properties reducing immune cell infiltration, promoting macrophage polarization toward M2‐like phenotype, suppressing inflammatory cytokine secretion, blocking cycle. Furthermore, high affinity TA tissue, shows an almost tenfold greater retention uptake than Fe‐Cur. In mouse preclinical beagle dog MI models, preserves function reduces scar size, suggesting promising potential clinical translation cardiovascular disease.

Nanozymes are nanomaterials with enzyme-like activity, possessing the unique properties of and natural catalytic functions. catalytically active, stable, tunable, recyclable, versatile. Therefore, increasing attention has been paid in fields environmental science life sciences. In this review, we focused on most recent applications nanozymes for monitoring, management, protection. We firstly introduce tuning activity according to some crucial factors such as size shape, composition doping, surface coating. Then, application introduced detail. can not only be used detect inorganic ions, molecules, organics, foodborne pathogenic bacteria but also involved degradation phenolic compounds, dyes, antibiotics. The capability was reported assisting air purification, constructing biofuel cells, marine antibacterial fouling removal. Finally, current challenges future trends toward proposed discussed.

Cuproptosis, a copper-dependent cell death process, has been confirmed to further activate the immune response and mediate resistance. However, hypoxic tumor microenvironment hampers cuproptosis sensitivity suppresses body's antitumor response. Herein, we have successfully immobilized functionalized catalase (CAT) with long single-stranded DNA containing polyvalent CpG sequences through rolling circle amplification (RCA) techniques, obtaining an enzyme-cored spherical nucleic acid nanoplatform (CAT-ecSNA-Cu) deliver copper ions for cuproptosis. The presence of long-stranded DNA-protected CAT enhances mitochondrial respiration by catalyzing conversion H2O2 O2, thereby sensitizing Meanwhile, increased oxygenation expression hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) protein, resulting in alleviation immunosuppressive microenvironment. Of note, induces immunogenic (ICD), which facilitates dendritic (DC) maturation antigen presentation polyCpG-supported Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) activation. Abstract Colorimetric sensors play a crucial role in promoting on‐site testing, enabling the detection and/or quantification of various analytes based on changes color.
