Abstract Cold chains are a major source of carbon emissions because they make use refrigerated trucks and warehouses for distribution storage inventory. Consequently, inventory management in cold should prioritise both profitability environmental sustainability. This paper optimises chain system consisting single warehouse retail outlet, responsible storing selling items, respectively. To maintain product quality safety, these items must be transported stored temperature-controlled environments. Two models the proposed formulated compared under two distinct regulations, namely, cap-and-trade cap-and-offset, using financial metrics. The factor from used transporting study examines numerical example real case involving frozen seafood supply chain. analysis reveals that regulation is more effective reducing impact, leading to 4.4% lower cap-and-offset regulation. However, an economic standpoint, performs marginally better, generating 1% higher profit. identifies three key factors significantly influence outcomes chain: truck capacity, fuel efficiency, freezer performance. As result, can best improve reduce operations by focusing on optimising critical elements.

A growing number of countries and regions have introduced emerging sports in recent years; however, few studies been conducted to determine how why they do so. This article focuses on a new sport, sepaktakraw, was Taiwan strategies for achieving international sporting success were developed short period. The policy factors leading the model proposed by De Bosscher et al. adopted as this study's analytical framework. Data obtained from official government sport federation documents, media reports, semistructured interviews with 18 key stakeholders. study revealed three main reasons introduction sepaktakraw Taiwan: (1) low costs, (2) breakthroughs win medals at Asian Games, (3) advantageous entry into organization leadership. Seven aspects are prioritized Taiwan's development strategy: obtaining financial support; institutionalizing organisational decision-making; taking universities breakthrough point then gradually shifting promote popularization grassroots level; (4) selecting players basis competition results; (5) using school badminton courts; (6) strengthening coach training; (7) actively participating striving host tournaments. findings could provide guidelines examples other or follow when introducing moving towards successful competitive sports.
